Hands #26-30: Weinman Slow-Plays Aces Again; Chips Up Against Walton

Livello 38 : Blinds 600,000/1,200,000, 1,200,000 ante

Hand #26: Daniel Weinman raised to 2,400,000 from an early position with the AA and Steven Jones called withthe AQ, as did Adam Walton on the button with the 66. The 1075 flop was checked to Walton, who bet 4,100,000 and Weinman was the only caller.

The K fell on the turn and Weinman checked again. Walton fired a bet of 17,000,000 into a pot of 17,400,000 after a mere eight seconds to act, which Weinman called.

The K river was checked and Weinman showed his AA for the second slow-played aces on the final table, then animating his rail which burst out in loud chants.

Hand #27: Walton opened the action with a raise to 2,400,000 in the cutoff with J10 to force three folds behind him.

Hand #28: Toby Lewis open-jammed his last 25,200,000 in the small blind to win the pot with the A7.

Hand #29: Weinman limped in the small blind with the KJfor Jan-Peter Jachtmann to check it back holding the 72. The 964 flop saw Weinman check-fold to a bet worth 2,000,000.

Hand #30: Lewis made it 2,400,000 to go in the cutoff with the 55 for Jachtmann to call in the small blind holding the 33. The A82 flop was checked by Jachtmann and Lewis bet 1,800,000 to earn a call, which led to the 7 turn.

Both players checked to the A river and Jachtmann bet 4,000,000 into 10,800,000 to win the pot uncontested after a reluctant fold by Lewis.

The long anticipated drawing for the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event "Seat for Life" promotion was revealed prior to Sunday's final table, and it went to Canadian poker player Jason Clarke.

Clarke will receive free entry into poker's world championship event until 2053, valued at $300,000 — $10,000 each year — assuming he lives that long. The seat is non-transferrable.

The Chad & Jesse Poker Show: Josh Arieh Talks Hot 2023 WSOP; David Williams on Bracelet Stolen in Home Robbery

Livello 39 : Blinds 800,000/1,600,000, 1,600,000 ante

On the latest PokerNews Podcast episode, Chad Holloway and Jesse Fullen continue The Chad & Jesse Poker Show straight from the 2023 World Series of Poker (WSOP).

In the penultimate show of the summer, Chad & Jesse welcome two guests to the show starting with Josh Arieh, who has won two bracelets this summer and was nominated for the Poker Hall of Fame. Arieh talked about the WSOP back in the late 1990s, his career resurgence, Poker Stake, and shares a fun story involving Ted Forrest and the late Layne Flack.

The other guest is 2004 WSOP Main Event runner-up David Williams, who was fresh of winning a Flip & Go. He talks about his history in that event, how his WSOP gold bracelet and diamond toothpick were stolen in a home robbery, and why he wouldn’t do Master Chef again.

Chad and Jesse then do a new "Calling the Clock" segment in which they offer quick two-minute dialogues for topics on “The Board.”

Weinman called. Weinman then checked on the 7 turn and Walton checked back. Weinman led out for a small 2,500,000 on the 5 river and Walton called as the two showed AJ and AJ to chop up the pot.

Hand #37: Juan Maceiras open-jammed a stack of 17,500,000 with the A8 from middle position and stood up for his rail to start cheering as Toby Lewis sat in the tank in the small blind with the A10. Lewis eventually folded and Daniel Weinman folded in the big blind to win Maceiras the pot.

Hand #38: Steven Jones opened to 3,200,000 from under the gun and Jan-Peter Jachtmann defended out of the big blind with the A7. Jachtmann checked on the flop of K710 and Jones bet 3,100,000. Hand #43: Steven Jones raised to 3,200,000 and Daniel Holzner three-bet to 16,300,000 with 100,000 behind. It folded back to Jones who reraised and the Italian called all-in.

Daniel Holzner: AJ
Steven Jones: 1010

It was a classic flip and the rails on both sides of the Thunderdome got loud. In the end, Jones' rail had reason to chant as the QQ324 board ended the run of apple tree farmer Holzner in ninth place for $900,000.
