Betito Picks Off Li in a Big One

Livello 25 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Liran Betito, Pei Li, and Matthias Auer had already built a pot approaching 1,500,000 with a completed board showing 61028Q. Action checked to Li in the hijack, who fired out 800,000.

Auer quickly folded, but Betito stuck in a call. Li flashed AxKx for just ace-high. "Let's go," Betito yelled, slamming down KQ on the table to win the big pot and climb above 10,000,000.

Anirban Das

Anirban Das opened to 125,000 from the hijack and received a call from Patrick Tardif in the cutoff. Gabi Livshitz three-bet to 550,000 from the small blind and Das made the call while Tardif got out of the way.

Livshitz opted to check on the 645 flop and Das bet 450,000. Livshitz made the call.

The turn was the 4 and Livshitz check-called another bet from Das, this time for 675,000.

Both players checked the 7 river. Das tabled 88 for a rivered straight to win the pot and take a big chunk out of Livshitz's stack.

Quan Zhou

Alexander Villa raised to 130,000 from the cutoff before Matt Salsberg moved all in for 695,000 on the button. Tim Van Loo in the small blind gave it some thought before mucking, but big blind Quan Zhou snap-shoved for his last 800,000. Villa folded to leave Salsberg and Zhou heads-up.

Matt Salsberg: AJ
Quan Zhou: AQ

Salsberg was dominated and fell far behind on the Q85 flop as Zhou made top pair. The Q turn gave Zhou trips and left Salsberg drawing dead heading to the 5, ending the Hollywood screenwriter's Main Event run.

"This Guy Just Can't Die"

Livello 25 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Eduards Rakuss was the initial raiser from under the gun and Tyler Stafman had come along to the QJ8 flop on which Rakuss check-jammed for975,000 into a bet of 150,000 by Stafman. The instant call via single chip was a bad sign for the Latvian.

Eduards Rakuss: KK
Tyler Stafman: 109

The over pair of Rakuss was on very thin ice but somehow got there on the 5 turn and 2 river, which saw several players erupt in shock. One of them declared "this guy just can't die" while a disgusted Stafman snapped a picture of the sucker punch and shared it with friends.

Payne Brings the Pain to Li, Amasses Third Eight-Figure Stack on the Table

Livello 25 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Joshua Payne and Pei Li had gotten it all in on a board of AQ63. Li was the one at risk of elimination.

Pei Li: A10
Joshua Payne: A3

Payne had two pair while Li was just working with one. The J did not change that fact and Li took his exit.

Meanwhile, Payne shot over the ten million mark and is the third stack to play triple the average on the same table.

Livello 25 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Andrey Pateychuk had a raise to 375,000 in front of him in early position before Alec Torelli reraised to 1,000,000 from the big blind.
