Betito Among the Leaders

Livello 23 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Pol Vela raised to 80,000 in early position and was called by Matthias Auer. Liran Betito three-bet to 330,000 on the button and Vela took a minute before shoving all in for around 1,600,000. Auer got out of the way and Betito quickly called.

Pol Vela: AQ
Liran Betito: AK

Betito held a dominating advantage and the board of 109539 changed nothing as Vela was eliminated.

Westmorland Lets It Go

Livello 23 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Bryan Obregon raised to 100,000 from under the gun and Jordan Westmorland called from the cutoff. From the button, Ahmad Popal came along as well while the blinds folded.

On the Q23 flop, Obregon checked and Westmorland made a bet of 175,000. Popal called and Obregon folded.

The 6 turn then fell and Westmorland bet another 650,000. Popal then went all-in for 1,485,000 and sent Westmorland into the tank. After asking for a count, he ultimately decided to fold and save the 800,000 chips.

Popal would show 33 to the table for a flopped set as he raked in his newly acquired chips.

Obregon Spikes the Turn to Cross Ten Million

Livello 23 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Bryan Obregon
Bryan Obregon

Bryan Obregon has been on a relentless tear up the chip count leaderboard today, and his latest victim was Christopher Ahrens.

Obregon and Ahrens were heads-up on a flop of 3J7 when Ahrens moved all in for 300,000 from the big blind and Obregon called from early position.

Christopher Ahrens: J10
Bryan Obregon: 109

Ahrens was ahead with a pair of jacks, but his hope proved short-lived as the 8 turn improved Obregon to a straight. The river fell the Q and Obregon sent Ahrens to the rail and his stack up past 10,000,000 heading to the dinner break.

Day 5 of the 2023 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event has provided some memorable moments, none more so than a huge pot played between Nicholas Rigby and Chance Kornuth, who busted in the hand.

Shortly after moving to the PokerGO feature table, Kornuth ran into a tough situation against one of the loosest and most aggressive players in the field, who also just so happened to be among the chip leaders.
