No Fear for Dzian

Livello 15 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

On a heads-up flop of 23K, Daniel Dzian bet 17,000 after a check from Andrew Peplinski, but then Peplinski put in the check-raise to 62,000.

Dzian kind of gave him a look and quickly made the call to see the 8 on the turn.

Surprisingly, Peplinski checked once more and Dzian showed no fear of the double check-raise and bet once more for 70,000.

Peplinski supposedly decided to give up and quickly mucked his cards as Dzian flashed Kx8x for two-pair.

The small blind checked over to Tosoc on the button and he bet 295,000. His opponent tanked for several minutes as some tablemates began filming the action.

The small blind eventually called and Tosoc showed 95 for a flush. His opponent threw 1010 across the table as Tosoc took the pot of more than 1,000,000.

Upeshka De Silva raised under the gun to 12,000, a player in the cutoff three-bet to 36,000 and Jason Somerville came in with a cold four-bet to 85,000. De Silva folded and the action was back on the cutoff.

After some time in the tank, the cutoff jammed for his last 286,000 and Somerville snap-called.

Jason Somerville: AA

The board ran out 3102105. Sommerville eliminated another player as the bubble approached.

Daniels Still In

Livello 15 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Cody Daniels
Cody Daniels

Cody Daniels is still around during the bubble phase of the tournament. He was short-stacked all day but had begun to chip up as Day 3 started to wrap up. Then, he played two back-to-back hands against Shang Dai.

In the first hand, the pair had arrived on the turn on Q28J. Daniels checked from middle position and Dai bet 25,000 into a pot of 50,0000 from the button. Daniels made the call and the 5 river appeared.

Daniels then checked again and Dai put out another 25,000. This time, Daniels quickly folded.

One hand later, the two tangled again as the flop read 393 and a pot of 45,000 was gathered. Daniels bet out 12,000 from early position and Dai responded with a raise to 28,000 from the cutoff.

Another quick fold followed from Daniels. Dai chipped up to over one million and the touching story of the terminally ill but ever-positive Daniels also continued.

Joshi Forces a Big Fold

Sachin Joshi

Action was picked up on the river with about 130,000 in the pot, the board reading 3K533 and players heads up. A player in the big blind checked and Sachin Joshi made an overbet of 213,000, putting his opponent very deep into the tank.

After just over ten minutes, the big blind said that he would randomize, and looked at the time on his phone. Shortly after, he folded the K face up for a full house and Joshi collected a chunky pot without having to go to show down.

Rigby's Aggression Not Enough

Livello 15 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

A player in the small blind limped before raising to 65,000 after Nicholas Rigby made it 20,000 to go in the big blind. Rigby made the call to send action heads-up to the flop.

The small blind checked following the 3Q3 flop before calling a bet of 20,000 from Rigby.

There was no slowing down for Rigby on the 8 turn as he fired off 50,000 when the small blind checked. His opponent once again called.

The small blind checked for a third time when the A river completed the board and Rigby, appearing to give up, checked behind then mucked when the small blind turned over 1010 to take a hit to his stack.

This Has Never Happened!

Livello 15 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Michael Kassem opened to 15,000 and Terrance Eischens made the call but then Anthony Swift pushed all in for 75,000 total.

The action folded back around to Kassem who thought about it for a full minute before moving all in himself for slightly more.

Eischens quickly got out of the way and the cards were tabled, with Swift's tournament life on the line.

Anthony Swift: AK
Michael Kassem: 66

"Wow! Sixes, really?" Swift was shocked to see what he was up against.

The flop of 35Q was of no help to Swift, but the turn K certainly was and he let the table know it.

"Yes! This never happens! I never get lucky!" He shouted.

Fortunately for him, the river came a non-six 7 to secure him the win for the double-up as Kassem was now left short.
