Stephen Peppin opened 7,000 in the cutoff and Rene Majed made the call.

The 1032 flop hit the felt, and Peppin continued for 12,000. Majed put in a raise to 30,000 and Peppin paused for a moment before three-betting to 70,000. Majed called.

The 4 hit the turn, and Peppin fired another bet of 65,000. Majed stuck around, tossing in a call.

When the A fell on the river, Peppin fired once more, this time for 75,000. Majed wasted no time making the call to see the KK of Peppin before opening 33 for a flopped set of threes.

Moraes Snaps Off a Player

Livello 12 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Martin Zamani raised to 7,500 from early position and received one caller before Rafael Moraes, in middle position, three-bet to 18,500. The button called, as did Zamani as they went three-handed to the 736 flop.

Zamani and Moraes both checked over to the button, who bet 31,500. Zamani quickly folded, but Moraes called after tanking for a few minutes.

The turn came the 10 and Moraes again paused for several moments before checking. His opponent then shoved all in for 120,000 and Moraes acted quickly this time, slamming in the chips to call.

His opponent showed 33 for a flopped set, but Moraes had 98 for the turned straight. The river came the A and Moraes secured a big bustout to climb up to 700,000.

Li up Big Early

Livello 12 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

The player under the gun raised to 8,000 and was called by Pei Li in the hijack, Justin Shelton in the cutoff, and the player in the big blind.

Action checked to Li on the 21010 flop and he bet 12,500. Only Shelton called.

Both players checked on the Q turn and then Li fired 17,500 into the middle when the J completed the board. Shelton folded.

"Pocket eights?" Li inquired as he collected the pot. "Something like that," Shelton replied. "I couldn't even find the hero call."

Li, who won his first bracelet last year, has built his stack substantially from the start of the day and currently sits with around 730,000.

Deng Just Couldn't Help Himself

Livello 12 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Stan Jablonski opened to 6,000 from the button and Clemen Deng defended from the big blind to see a flop of KQ10.

"Don't do anything stupid," Jablonski joked to Deng who quickly checked and Jablonski checked back.

The turn came the 7 and both players checked once more to see the 9 on the river.

Deng then fired for 15,000 but was snap-called by Jablonski who quickly flipped over KJ for a king-high straight while Deng sheepishly rolled over 45.

"Just couldn't help yourself could ya!" Jablonski joked and the two shared a laugh as the pot was pushed over to Jablonski.

Rios Gives a Headache to Stroke

Livello 12 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

In a three-way pot, the flop was J2K when Shawn Stroke checked in the big blind and a player in middle position bet 9,000. Jorge Rios called in the cutoff and Stroke decided to raise it to 27,000 and after some thought, both the middle position and Rios called.

The turn was the 9 and Stroke sent 40,000 in the middle. The middle position folded but Rios made the call.

The 5 completed the board and Stroke sent another 40,000. Rios thought about his move and raise it to 180,000. Stroke went deep into the tank and after a few minutes, the clock was called.

Stroke ended up calling at the end of the countdown, but only to muck when Rios tabled A4 for the nut flush.

Obst Volleys One to the Rail

Livello 12 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

A player in the small blind moved all in for around 150,000 and was called by James Obst from under the gun.

All-In Player: QQ
James Obst: AK

It was a classic race situation as the at-risk player stood up from his seat to await the flop, which came 58A. He let out a loud groan as Obst made top pair and improved to two pair on the K turn.

The river came the 6 and Obst, who is making a triumphant return to the Main Event this year after taking several years off to pursue a tennis career, dragged in the pot while his opponent made a quick exit.

Brite Staying Aggressive

Livello 12 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

A player in early position raised to 6,500 preflop. Stephen Brite, in the cutoff, then raised to 18,000. His opponent made the call, and it was heads-up action to a flop.

The 34J came, but no chips were pushed forward. The Q turn brought a bet of 8,000 from Brite, which was enough to get his opponent to fold. Brite flashed the J as he took down the pot.
