Josephy Drills The Turn to Send One Out

Livello 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Cliff Josephy raised to 4,500 from middle position and the player in the cutoff shoved for their last 15,500. Action folded back around to Josephy, who called.

Cutoff: KK
Cliff Josephy: A6

The 3104 was safe for Josephy's opponent, but the A turn left his kings cracked and drawing to two outs.

The 2 completed the board and Josephy collected the rest of his opponent's chips with his pair of aces.

Double Knockout for Rigby on Feature Table

Livello 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Nicholas Rigby

Three ways to the 1063 flop, Stephen Chimelski from middle position raised to 19,000 and Nicholas Rigby then jammed on the button. Davis Modans called all-in for 50,000 from under the gun and Chimelski followed suit for the 116,000 he had at his disposal to create a three-way all-in on the main feature table.

Davis Modans: JJ
Stephen Chimelski: AA
Nicholas Rigby: 108

The 2 turn was a blank but the 5 river improved Rigby to a flush, knocking out two opponents.

Chau Gets Action with the Nut Flush

Livello 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

On a completed board of 10622, Gregg Merkow checked and Lee Chau fired a bet of 35,000.

Merkow tanked for awhile before tossing in the call. Chau rolled over A3 for the nut flush, and Merkow showed JJ before the dealer pulled his hand into the muck.

"That's what I get for not reraising, I guess," Said Merkow as the dealer pushed the pot to Chau.

Cynn Not Slowing Down

Livello 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
John Cynn
John Cynn

A player in the hijack opened to 6,000 and John Cynn called on the button.

The flop came 936 and the hijack fired a continuation bet for 7,000. Cynn made the call.

The hijack slowed down with a check on the 8 turn. Cynn bet 8,500 and his opponent quickly folded.

The very next hand at the same table, a player in middle position opened to 4,500 and received calls from John Cynn in the cutoff as well as both the blinds.

Action checked around to Cynn, who opted to bet 7,500 on the 1042 flop. The blinds got out of the way and the original raiser made the call.

The original raiser checked on the 9 turn and Cynn fired a second barrel for 14,000, forcing a fold from his opponent to take down another decent pot.

Rigby And Hawkins Nearing a Million

Livello 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

The final hour on Day 2d is near and two players are on the verge of a seven-figure stack. Maurice Hawkins and Nicholas Rigby can be found on the side and main feature table but have not increased their chips to the elusive tally yet.

Rigby was close to it when he called a raise by Robert Jones to 4,000 and Francis Anderson defended the big blind. On the J44 flop, Anderson checked and Jones bet 4,000. The folds of Rigby and Anderson followed as Jones earned the pot.

William Kassouf
William Kassouf

A completed board of 83342 was spread in a pot between William Kassouf in the big blind and a player on the button. Kassouf made a bet of 15,500 and had his opponent in the tank while engaging in some of his patented speech play.

While the floor was overlooking if Kassouf broke any rules, his opponent ultimately made the call. Kassouf tabled K5 for the flush and raked in a sizable pot.

"Cooler," he uttered while stacking up his chips.

Katz Leaves His Opponent Wondering

Cary Katz

The pot stood at 20,000 with two players looking at a board that read 7310Q.

Cary Katz checked the action over to the under-the-gun player who bet out for 9,500. Katz raised the bet to 45,000; an effective all-in as he'd left himself just 4,500 chips behind.

Katz's opponent went deep into the tank squirming over his decision before eventually folding 109 face up.

Larson Tries for it All

Livello 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Thomas Larson had 91,000 in the middle from the cutoff and the button who already had 40,000 in, was in the tank. After about a minute the button called the extra 51,000.

The dealer fanned a flop of K104 and Larson jammed for 211,000. His opponent paused for only about five seconds before releasing his hand.

Larson let out a large breath of air and wiped his forehead as he pitched the cards into the muck. "Boy am I glad you didn't have king-king there."
