Action was picked up on the river with the board reading Q♠2♣A♥3♥6♥ and about 45,000 in the middle. A player in the big blind checked, and Alex Epstein bet 26,000, putting his opponent to a tough decision.

After about a minute of deliberation, the big blind flicked in a calling chip. Epstein showed A♠Q♥ for top two pair and his opponent quickly mucked.

Scott Hempel raised 1,800 under the gun and only Benjamin Gross made the call in the hijack.

The A♠A♥8♠ flop was quickly checked by both players.

When the 2♠ hit the turn, Hempel tossed in a bet of 2,200 and Gross called.

The J♦ completed the board, and Hempel continued to fire, this time for 2,800. After a short pause, Gross matched the bet. Hempel turned over A♣9♣ for trip aces and that was good as Gross tossed his cards into the muck.

The UK's Tamer Kamel three-bet an open raise of Evangelos Kokkalis from 1,800 to 5,400 and earned a reluctant call by the Greek, which brought them to the A♥5♣3♠ flop. Kokkalis checked to Kamel in the cutoff and a bet worth 2,900 did the trick to win the pot.

Lozano Exits in Brutal Fashion

Claudius Ferris opened from middle position and Eric Lozano put out a three-bet to 5,300 from the small blind. Ferris made the call and a flop of 2♦5♣4♥ was spread.

Lozano led all-in for his final 10,300 chips and, after getting a count, Ferris made the call.

All seemed well for Lozazno, who held the higher overpair. The A♠ turn did not do anything for either player's hand, but the 7♠ saw Ferris hit his two-outer. Lozano sped out of the Horseshoe Event Center and Ferris was back to almost starting stack,

Mizrachi Sends Hagenbuch Out

Michael Mizrachi opened to 1,700 from the cutoff and was called by Rusty Hagenbuch in the big blind.

Hagenbuch led out for 1,500 on the J♦8♠K♠ flop and Mizrachi raised enough to put Hagenbuch all in for a bit over 10,000. Hagbenbuch called and hands were revealed.

Hagenbuch was ahead, but Mizrachi had plenty of outs that came to fruition on the 9♦ turn — giving Mizrachi a straight and leaving Hagenbuch drawing to a ten for a higher straight.

The 2♦ bricked out for Hagenbuch, however, and he was eliminated.

Osmanoglu made the call to see Oz's 4♣4♠ for a set of fours, but it was no good as Osmanoglu tabled 7♣7♦ for a higher set and Oz exited the tournament.

The river came 5♥ and the hand checked to a showdown.

James Pisano, who had just arrived at the table, was in the small blind and made a raise of 3,000 and the big blind called. The flop arrived 4♥6♦Q♥ and Pisano continued the aggression with a bet of 2,000 and got the call.

The turn came the 10♣ and Pisano slowed down and checked, the big blind decided to bet 3,500, and Pisano made a quick call.

Both players checked the river 5♠ and the big blind tabled K♣4♣ for a pair of fours and Pisano apologized for not turning his cards over right away and showed 6♥2♥ for a pair of sixes.
