Heizman Doubles with the Better Kicker

Livello 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Michael Farris and Stefan Heizman had arrived on the turn, on a board that read 5AA6. With around 20,000 already in the middle Farris bet out of 11,500. Heizman then raised all in for 37,200.

"I knew this would happen," sighed Farris. After asking for an exact count, he put in the calling chips and both players showed their cards.

Stefan Heizman: AQ
Michael Farris: A10

Both players flopped trip aces, but the at-risk Heizman was the one with the better kicker. No ten or chop for Farris came on the 4 river and Heizman doubled up after some rough first levels.
