Spragg Springing Back

Livello 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Marle Spragg
Marle Spragg

Marle Spragg raised to 2,500 in the cutoff and a player called in the big blind.

The flop peeled off 9710 and action checked to Spragg who bet 2,000 and her opponent called.

On the 3 turn, action checked through to the 6 river where the big blind bet 4,000 and Spragg quickly called.

The big blind turned over A9 for second pair with an ace, but it was no good against Spragg's A8 for a ten high straight.

"That's what I put you on," said the big blind as Spragg raked in the pot.

Cohen Leaves Herself Short

Livello 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Sam Cohen
Sam Cohen

Sam Cohen and Paul Wong had arrived on the turn in a big pot already worth 24,600 chips. The board read 459K and Cohen checked from under the gun. Wong then made an almost pot-sized bet of 22,000 and Cohen tossed in a green T-25,000 chip for a call.

The river fell the 3 and again Cohen checked. Wong fired in another 70,000, almost the entirety of Cohen's stack.

Cohen was thinking for a while before she asked "Seven-six suited?"

Wong gave no response and eventually, Cohen made the call.

Wong then tabled 99 for a set of nines and Cohen mucked her cards after confirming her opponent's hand. She was left with merely 3,000 chips and is looking for a miracle run in order to survive Day 2.

Livello 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Lou Ojeda raised 2,600 from early position and Micah Raskin called from the button.

Raskin continued for 8,000 on a 9 turn and Ojeda called again. Both checked the J river, and when Raskin turned over A10 for a flopped pair of tens, Ojeda mucked.

"I was seeing if you had a tell," Ojeda explained. "I thought I could trust you."

Collins Takes From Frank

Livello 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

The action folded to the hijack who opened for 2,500 and Ashley Frank called next to act. James Collins put in a three-bet to 8,500 on the button and only Frank made the call.

The flop came QQ7 and Frank check-called a bet of 11,000 from Collins. The 7 hit the turn and Frank checked a second time to Collins who sized to 25,000. Nakanishi Bombs the River on Finger

Livello 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Martin Finger, Ian Steinman, and Shota Nakanishi went three-handed to the turn with the board showing 936K when Finger bet 4,200 from early position.

Steinman called in the cutoff before Nakanishi, in the big blind, raised to 17,000. Finger quickly called, while Steinman got out of the way.

The river came the 6 and Nakanishi now fired out 75,000, sending Finger deep into the tank.

Several minutes went by before Finger let out a deep sigh and Nakanishi smiled back at him. Finger eventually tapped the felt and gave up his hand as Nakanishi took down the pot.

"I had a six in my hand," Steinman confessed after the hand.

Alex Kulev

Action was picked up on the river with 21,800 in the middle in a pot between Alex Kulev in the small blind and another player in early position.

On a board reading 55AK4 Kulev bet 25,000 and his opponent went into the tank. After some thought he tossed in the single green chip to make the call.

Kulev turned over 85 for three fives which was good for the pot and the Bulgarian added to his growing stack.

At another table, Antoine Saout was eliminated.
