Maximum Pressure from Ibañes

Livello 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Three players saw the KJ9 flop, creating a pot of about 3,000, and the action checked to Johann Ibañes who bet 1,500. Only one opponent made the call.

The 3 fell on the turn and Ibañes' opponent check-called a bet of 5,200.

When the K completed the board, it was checked to Ibañes once again before he announced all-in for his stack of about 60,000. His opponent had roughly 18,000 behind and decided not to put it in the middle as he gave his cards back to the dealer.

Bowe Doubles in Style

Livello 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Clayton Fletcher raised to 1,300 from under the gun and James Reisman called in the hijack. Patrick Bowe was on the button and three-bet jammed for 13,600. Fletcher asked for a count and made the call thereafter while Reisman got out of the way.

Patrick Bowe: 88
Clayton Fletcher: A3

Bowe flopped a set on K98 and had Fletcher drawing dead on the Q turn. The 8 river even upgraded him to quads, and he raked in the much-needed double-up.

Housenbold Folds Second Nuts

Livello 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Paul Wong and Jeffrey Housenbold were playing for an 11,000 pot on a board of 4857. Housenbold bet 6,500 from early position and Wong raised it to 31,500, enough to put Housenbold all in.

Housenbold thought about it for a while, trying to get some information from his opponent. Wong would not budge, however, and eventually Housenbold folded his Ax6x with visible frustration, choosing to preserve his tournament life.

Three Barrels From Dolan

Livello 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Truyen Nguyen opened from middle position and was called by the cutoff. In the small blind, John Dolan squeezed to 5,500. Nguyen called, but not the cutoff.

On J56, Dolan bet 4,000 and received another call. The K came on the turn, and Dolan fired a second barrel for 7,000. Nguyen kept calling.

After the river J, Dolan continued his story by moving all in to 27,000. Nguyen looked at his cards, facing them up, and showed 87 for a missed flush and straight draw. He folded, of course, and Dolan took the pot and is back at the starting stack.

Hughes' River Call Gets a Muck

Livello 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Three ways on a flop of 829, Ryan Hughes checked from the small blind and another player checked in middle position. The player in the hijack bet 2,500 and both players called.

Everyone checked on the 2 turn; however, the player in middle position bet 5,000 on the K river after Hughes checked to him. The hijack then raised to 14,000 and Hughes called cold. The initial bettor folded and Hughes' opponent opted to muck his hand rather than show — conceding the pot to Hughes without a showdown.

Phil Hellmuth's Bracelet Record is Even More Impressive Than You Realized

Livello 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante
Phil Hellmuth
Phil Hellmuth

Phil Hellmuth now has 17 World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelets, seven more than anyone else. He's won enough bracelets to likely hold onto that record throughout his lifetime. But he'll almost certainly tack on some more before he calls it a career.

The record alone is tournament poker's greatest accomplishment, and yet there's so much more to his WSOP resume than perhaps you even knew. Take, for starters, the fact that he's the only player to win bracelets in five separate decades (1980s, 1990s, 2000s, 2010s, and 2020s) and one of two players, along with Josh Arieh, to win at all three host venues (Binion's, Rio, and Bally's/Horseshoe).

Hunter's Full House Gets Paid

Livello 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Three players saw the turn of AJ3A, and Cynthia Hunter led out 5,000 into the 12,000. The middle position player folded and the button made the call.

The 9 fell on the river and Hunter fired again, this time for 10,000. Her opponent snap-called by dropping a single purple chip across the line. Hunter showed AJ for the nut full house and she dragged the pot.

Fragoso Misclicks With Top Set

Livello 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Francisco Fragoso opened to 1,000 from under the gun and Gary Ware called in the hijack before the cutoff also called.

Jame Wilkerson then three-bet to 3,000 on the button and action folded back to Fragoso, who four-bet to 12,000. Ware and Wilkerson both called, while the cutoff folded.

All three players checked on the flop of Q47 and Fragoso then bet 28,000 on the J turn as he threw out three yellow 1,000-chips and one green 25,000-chip.

"Oops, I meant to make it 3,500!" cried Fragoso.

Both opponents folded and Fragoso showed the nuts with QQ for top set.
