Zhen Cai
Zhen Cai

On a flop of 45K, Zhen Cai checked the small blind over to Ian Matakis who tossed out a bet of 500,000.

Cai had only 100,000 or so more a decided it was time to put them all in the middle. Matakis called, sending both players to a runout with Cai at risk.

Zhen Cai: Q1076
Ian Matakis: AAQ10

Cai had an open-ended straight draw but when the turn and river ran out the J and Q, the board completed the nut straight for Matakis to send Cai home in ninth place for $42,107.

Dimitrios Michailidis
Dimitrios Michailidis

Connor Drinan raised his button to 160,000 before Dimitrios Michailidis three-bet the pot in the big blind. The total was 520,000 and Drinan ruminated for a bit before making the call.

The flop was then fanned out 765 and Michailidis weighed his options for a while before committing the rest of his 975,000 chips. Drinan snap called with the covering stack and both the players' hole cards were revealed.

Dimitrios Michailidis: QQ97
Connor Drinan: J596

Michaillidis played the queens in his hand while Drinnan had flopped bottom two pair. The J turn upgraded Drinan to a better two pair, and the 4 river improved neither player, resulting in Michailidis' elimination in 10th place.

Lawrence Wayne limped in from the button and Connor Drinan completed his small blind. Sokchheka Pho checked his option in the big blind and the dealer spread a flop of 874, which got checked through.

Pho then was the first to bet on the 10 turn, for 200,000 chips, leaving himself 350,000 behind. Wayne folded but Drinan made the call. On the 4 river, Drinan led and put Pho all-in, and Pho quickly called.

Drinan had rivered tens full with 101085 and beat the turned straight of Pho, who played AKJ9. Pho shook his head and collected his payout, while the ten remaining players kept battling.

Merron Bets River and Takes It Down

Livello 25 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Dustin Goldklang raised to 160,000 from late position only to see Matthew Parry announce a pot-sized three-bet to 570,000 from the cutoff.

Kyle Merron cold-called from the small blind and Goldklang called as well to take all three players to the 729 flop.

All three players checked to see the 5 hit the turn. Action checked through once more and the 9 fell on the river.

Merron paused before counting out chips and sliding a bet of 850,000 into the middle. Goldklang quickly folded but Parry was far less eager to release his hand.

After a few minutes of thought, Parry did eventually release his hand, much to the apparent relief of Merron who seemed very happy to take the pot down having apparently been bluffing, although he never exposed his cards.

Lawrence Wayne called from under the gun, and Ian Matakis called from the small blind. Brandon Shack-Harris checked from the big blind.

The flop came K3A, and Wayne led out for about 80,000. Only Shack-Harris called to the turn.

While the turn peeled the 6, Wayne continued for 130,000, and Harris jammed all in. Wayne took no time to call.

Brandon Shack-Harris: KKQ7
Lawrence Wayne: AA4J

The board ran out 65 for Wayne to have the nuts for that board.

Peter Brooks Eliminated in 13th Place ($25,177)

Livello 25 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Peter Brooks
Peter Brooks

Peter Brooks raised preflop from the button, leaving only a few chips behind. Dimitrios Michailidis sat in the big blind and just called, before he put Brooks all-in on the 104K flop. Brooks stuck in the rest and their hands were revealed.

Peter Brooks: QJJ8
Dimitrios Michailidis: Q1062

Brooks had flopped an open-ender as well as the jacks in his hand, while Michailidis flopped a pair. The turn was clean for Brooks with the 5, but the Q river would give Michailidis two pair and spell the end of Brook's pot-limit Omaha run.

Will Berry Eliminated in 14th Place ($25,177)

Will Berry
Will Berry

Dustin Goldklang started the action with a raise to 160,000 from under the gun. Ian Matakis then called from the button as did Brandon Shack-Harris from the small blind.

However, Will Berry sat in the big blind and had a different idea. He raised it up to 600,000 chips, leaving only 300,000 behind. Goldklang folded before Matakis went into the tank for a while. After some time, he came out with a four-bet jam, covering both remaining players. Shack-Harris folded quickly and Berry commited the rest of his chips.

Will Berry: AKQJ
Ian Matakis: 8875

Matakis would flop a set on J86 to take a massive lead, and while the K turn brought Berry some outs, the 8 river made Matakis quads to finish it in style. Berry was crushed and swiftly left the tournament area.

Before the flop was out, Hayes put his remaining 100,000 in. The flop came the Q94, and Lagaze made the call. Both players revealed their hands.

Eric Hayes: AA64
Marc Lagaze: Q9810

The board ran out KJ for Lagaze to take the pot.
