Todd Ivens limped in from middle position, as did the button and Sam Soverel in the small blind. The big blind checked their option.
On a flop of 2♠4♥9♦, the action checked to Ivens who bet out for 250,000. Only Soverel continued.
The turn came the 8♥ and Soverel now chose to lead, putting in enough blue 100,000 chips to put Ivens all in. Ivens called.

Sam Soverel: 9♥8♣5♠3♠
The river fell the 9♣ giving Soverel a full house and eliminating Ivens in the process.

Jaspal Brar was spotted on his way to the payout desk as the flurry of casualties on the last three tables continued without time to breathe.
Brar had three-bet jammed a short stack from the button with the A♦K♠5♠3♦ and was called by cutoff raiser Peng Shan. The latter revealed Q♦J♦10♠9♣ as he was aiming to score another knockout.
According to Brar, the A♥K♣Q♥ flop gave him the top two pair while Shan's broadway stayed ahead. Two low blanks followed and that ended the run of Brar in 20th place for $48,800.

Arie Ori Miller: K♣Q♣9♠5♣
Ka Kwan Lau: A♥Q♠J♥8♦
The flop came A♣7♣9♥, and Lau's aces were the best hand. The board completed 2♠8♠, denying Miller's hand from improving and sending him out in 21st.

From under the gun, Sebastian Trisch raised the pot to 175,000 and Ren Lin checked the stack behind of the German before he called from one seat over. They headed to the K♠Q♠6♣ flop on which Trisch bet the pot with little behind.
"Kings or aces?" the chatty Lin asked and then added "okay, if you have it, you have it," before piling in the chips. Trisch called it off and the cards were exposed.
Sebastian Trisch: A♦A♥J♠3♦
Ren Lin: A♠Q♣Q♥9♣
Trisch's aces had a gutshot to go with against the set of queens of Lin. There was no help on the 5♥ turn and the K♦ river only improved Lin to a full house, sending Trisch to the payout desk in 22nd place for $48,800.

Over on the outer tables, David Wang raised the pot to 175,000 from under the gun and William Kopp clicked it up to 300,000 on the button with a straight min-raise. Wang peeled to see the A♣Q♥2♦ flop on which the Aussie checked and then got it in versus Kopp's shove.
David Wang: K♣J♠10♣3♠
William Kopp: A♦A♠9♣3♣
"Wow, fair fight," Adam Hendrix said as Wang had a full wrap against the top set of Kopp. Nothing changed with the 7♦ turn and 9♦ river to eliminate Wang in 23rd place.

Adam Hendrix checked from an early position on the K♣J♦9♠ flop and then called a bet worth 100,000 by William Kopp. They checked the 7♣ turn and 3♣ river for Hendrix to reveal his K♠J♥9♣8♦ for two pair. "Aces," Kopp announced and then realised that they were no good.
"No idea why I thought that was just one pair," he told Hendrix, who suggested to make a bad beat story out of it.
