Pearson Forces Fold

Livello 25 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Juha Helppi raised to 175,000 from the cutoff, and was called by Sam Soverel on the button and Travis Pearson from the big blind.

All three players checked the 5J8 flop. The 10 turn brought a bet of 375,000 from Pearson, to which only Helppi called.

The river was a 4, and Pearson again led out for 500,000. Helppi thought about his next move for a couple of minutes before folding.

William Kopp Eliminated in 16th Place ($48,800)

Livello 25 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
William Kopp
William Kopp

Stanislav Halatenko raised from under the gun and was called by William Kopp in the big blind. The flop brought 1096 and Kopp check-called a bet worth 200,000. They headed to the 8 on the turn and Kopp checked again. Halatenko now fired a bet of 700,000 and the dealer confirmed there were 790,000 in the pot when Kopp inquired, who then called.

The 8 river completed the board and Kopp checked the third street in a row. Halatenko paused for just five seconds and announced all-in. A mere thirty seconds later, Kopp called and that triggered some gasps from the other players at the table.

Kopp exposed his J1097 for a jack-high straight but it was no good, as the J876 of Halatenko had made eights full of sixes.

"Nice hand ... hand of the tournament," Arthur Morris declared in the table chat.

Lau's Big Bet Takes On Two Opponents

Livello 25 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Florencio Bunal limped from the cutoff, as did Arthur Morris in the small blind. Ka Kwan Lau in the big blind checked his option and three players went to the flop.

On 49Q, Morris took the lead for 100,000 and both players called.

The J on the turn saw Morris slow down. Lau now took the lead with a big bet of 540,000.

Bunal spent a considerable amount of time in the tank before Morris called the clock. Eventually, both Bunal and Morris' hands hit the muck winning the pot for Lau.

One for Pearson; One for Shan

Livello 25 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Travis Pearson came along out of the small blind when Sam Soverel had raised in the cutoff and checked the 552 flop. Soverel continued for 100,000 but quickly folded to a check-raise.

Peng Shan then opened to 135,000 in the cutoff and was called by Dylan Weisman in the small blind, Kosei Ichinose also called in the big blind.

The KQ10 flop was checked to Shan and his bet worth 180,000 won the pot uncontested.

"I call," Ren Lin joked despite having folded preflop.

Pearson Doubles Through Weisman

Livello 25 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Preflop action began with Dylan Weisman raising to 160,000 under the gun, and Juha Helppi making the call from the cutoff. Travis Pearson, the big blind, then reraised all in for 510,000. Weisman reraised, and Helppi folded, putting Pearson at risk.

Travis Pearson: AJ106
Dylan Weisman: AQ102

With the first four cards coming K5104, it appeared that a chop was likely. The Q on the river gave Pearson Broadway, though, doubling him up.

Adam Hendrix Eliminated in 17th Place ($48,800)

Adam Hendrix
Adam Hendrix

Stanislav Halatenko raised to 200,000 and the table short stack Adam Hendrix defended the big blind, glancing over at the tournament clock which had just gone down to 17 remaining.

The flop came K87 and Hendrix checked with around 260,000 behind. Halatenko bet the pot and Hendrix called all-in.

Adam Hendrix: 9965
Stanislav Halatenko: AAJ5

Hendrix had plenty of outs against the pocket aces but bricked the 2 turn as well as the 7 river runout to depart in 17th place. There will now be a short break ahead of the two table redraw.
