Yale Takes on Dzivielevski

Livello 23 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Yuri Martins Dzivielevski

Yale Greenfield opened in late position to 80,000 and got two time bracelet winner, Yuri Dzivielevski, to defend his big blind.

The Q76 flop hit the felt and the action checked through.

The turn brought an A and Dzivielevski checked again. Greenfield then put out a bet of 65,000 and action was back on Dzivielevski. Despite the ace typically being a better card for Greenfield, Dzivielevski opted to put in the turn check-raise to the tune of 150,000. Greenfield thought it over but ultimately mucked his hand and Dzivielevski took down the pot and chipped up.

O'Leary Cracks Aces to Avoid Elimination

Livello 23 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

A player in the cutoff raised the minimum to 80,000 and a player on the button three-bet jammed for 680,000. The decision was then on Grant O'Leary in the big blind, who decided to call all in for his remaining 315,000. The cutoff, in a tough spot, tanked for a short while before folding.

Grant O'Leary: KQ
Button: AA

As the flop came QK10 O'Leary shouted "Come on!" as he erupted from his seat. The turn and river came the 7 and the 4. Deprived of a bounty, the pocket aces had been cracked. The player in the cutoff voiced to the table that he would have rivered a set of fours.

Reed Claims Two Bounties

Livello 23 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Aaron Williams moved all in for his last 80,000 from under the gun before Caroline Reed in middle position raised big. Action then folded around to Eddy Mroczkowski in the big blind who called off his stack of 220,000.

Eddy Mroczkowski: K5
Caroline Reed: KK

Reed had both of her opponents in bad shape and was able to maintain her lead after the board ran out Q4J5J to claim two bounties early in the day.

Konnikova Claims Early Bounty

Livello 23 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Picking up the action partway through the hand, Maria Konnikova in middle position had her opponent in early position all in and at risk.

Early Position: 44
Maria Konnikova: A9

It was a coinflip with a potentially extremely valuable bounty on the line. The 10810 flop kept the at risk player ahead, though the J turn did give Konnikova an open ended straight draw to go with her two overcards. The 8 river double-paired the board, counterfeiting the pocket pair and handing Konnikova the pot plus bounty.
