Brazdzionis Crushes Kellner on the Flop

Livello 24 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Martynas Brazdzionis raised to 115,000 under the gun and Heinz Traut called. Ladislav Kellner then three-bet to 500,000 in the cutoff, Brazdzionis moved all in for 1,900,000, and Traut folded. Kellner, though, snap-called.

Martynas Brazdzionis: QQ
Ladislav Kellner: AA

There was almost 4,000,000 at stake as Kellner was ahead with his aces, but the Q fell in the window as Brazdzionis made a set. It was followed by K568 and Kellner stopped to snap a photo of the board before handing over nearly his entire stack. He was still letting out deep sighs well after the hand as Brazdzionis climbed up among the top stacks in the room.

Eljach Coolers Magny to the Rail

Livello 23 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Omar Eljach

Giuseppe Mazza-Boussemart and Gilles Magny built a pot of around 1,300,000 heading to the turn on a board of Q299. Mazza-Boussemart then moved all in from the cutoff.

Magny, with around 800,000 remaining, tanked for several minutes as the two players chatted about the decision.

"Can we have some cake and coffee? They're having a rendezvous over there," tablemate Sebastian Langrock joked with a tournament official. "That's my way of almost calling time," Langrock added.

Magny eventually folded, but the next hand he found himself facing an all-in shove again. Omar Eljach bet 150,000 from the big blind on a board of 7839 and Magny called in the cutoff.

The river came the 8 and Eljach moved all in. The rest of the room had already left for break as Magny continued to tank. He eventually called for 450,000.

Eljach turned over J10 for a straight and Magny showed A8 as he got up to make his exit. "Tough river," Eljach told him.

Trips for Chehade

Livello 23 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Everybody folded to Georges Chehade in the small blind, who decided to go all in for 810,000 chips. "What else can I do with my stack?" he said after the hand.

In the big blind, Anthony Mahaut asked for the count, and called.

Georges Chehade: KJ
Anthony Mahaut: A7

"Wait" asked Mahaut to the dealer before the flop. So he was ready to film the action when the dealer fanned a flop of KKA, that gave top pair to Mahaut, but trips to Chehade.

The 4 came on the turn and the 8 on the river, and Chehade secured a double up.

Lazare Kalebashvili
Lazare Kalebashvili

Lazare Kalebashvili opened to 105,000 from under the gun and Giuseppe Mazza-Boussemart called from the small blind.

Mazza-Boussemart check-called a 225,000 bet from Kalebashvili on the Q10J flop and then both players checked when the J paired the board.

Mazza-Boussemart checked once more on the 8 river — prompting a hefty 650,000 bet from Kalebashvili, which sent Mazza-Boussemart into the tank.

After a bit of deliberation, Mazza-Boussemart slid his cards into the muck and Kalebashvili added to his stack.

Kovalchuk Whiffs, Lanner Triples

Livello 23 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Oleksii Kovalchuk raised to 100,000 in the hijack before Alexander Lanner shoved for his last 415,000 in the cutoff. Istvan Toth called on the button, while Kovalchuk also called.

The flop came 854 and Kovalchuk moved all in for 750,000. Toth gave it some thought before mucking.

Alexander Lanner: AK
Oleksii Kovalchuk: K9

Lanner needed to dodge Kovalchuk's flush draw, and he successfully navigated the 5 turn and Q river to double up.

"You win," tablemate Mousa Awad asked Toth.

"Ace-jack," Toth said, shaking his head.

Artiom Poddubnii and Radek Jantos were heads-up on a flop of QK3, where Jantos got the rest of his 1,000,000 in the middle from the big blind against Poddubnii in the cutoff.

Radek Jantos: AA
Artiom Poddubnii: A10

Jantos had aces but needed to dodge Poddubnii's big draws. The 2 turn was safe, but the 6 river gave Poddubnii a flush and sent Jantos to the rail.

Sebastian Grax

Minator Alushaj opened to 125,000 from the cutoff, and he was called by Sebastien Grax who defended from the big blind.

On the flop 34A, Alushaj made a continuation bet of 100,000. Grax, in response, check-raised to 375,000, a move that forced Alushaj to fold.

On the next hand, Mikael Hen opened on the button. Grax quickly three-bet to 425,000 from the small blind. The big blind folded, and Hen eventually folded too, while showing the A.

"You had the win," Grax said, revealing the J and then the J for a pair of jacks.
