Zamani Bets Big

Livello 26 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Francisco Benitez made it 250,000 to go preflop and was called by Martin Zamani and Andrew Watson to see a flop of A79.

The three players then checked through to the turn 8. The action checked to Zamani on the button who then fired for 900,000, which produced a quick fold from Watson.

The action was then on Benitez who thought about it for a good while, the whole time Zamani was staring into his soul.

After 30 seconds or so, he tossed in his cards to award the pot to Zamani.

"PHEW!" Zamani let out a dramatic sigh of relief as he pulled in the chips.

Demirel Gets Paid

Livello 25 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Tolga Demirel had raised under the gun and was called by Hokyiu Lee in the big blind. The 7Q10 flop hit the table, where Lee check-called a bet of 275,000 of Demirel.

Demirel bet another 325,000 on the 7 turn and was check-called once more. Lee then led out for 500,000 on the 6 river, after which he was raised to 1,475,000.

Lee thought it over for a while before flicking in a calling chip. Demirel showed QQ44 for the best full house, and Lee shook his head and mucked his cards in defeat.

WSOP Main Event Favorite Niklas "Lena900" Astedt Out in Third Place

Livello 25 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Niklas Astedt
Niklas Astedt

Niklas Astedt came into Wednesday's World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event finale as a heavy favorite, but he left with a sour taste in his mouth.

The online poker legend known more affectionately known across the poker world as "Lena900" was the player to beat with three left in poker's world championship event. He had the biggest stack and the most experience playing at such a high level. But he'd make an abrupt exit from the tournament on Day 10 just two spots shy of the $10 million first place prize.
