Guagenti Bows Out

Livello 16
Nick Guagenti
Nick Guagenti

A-5 Triple Draw

Venkata Tayi limped in from the cutoff and Max Kruse followed suit on the button. Nick Guagenti tossed in his final chips from the small blind for less than a call and John Monnette checked his option in the big blind.

Guagenti drew four cards, Monnette drew three, Tayi drew one and Kruse drew three.

Monnette checked to Tayi, who added to the side with a bet. Kruse and Monnette made calls, after which Guagenti drew two on the second draw.

Monnette needed one card, Tayi stood pat and Kruse took three. Afterwards, Tayi threw out another bet and this time got two folds, awarding him the side pot.

Guagenti then drew one on the final draw while Tayi remained pat.

Nick Guagenti: 6x5x4xAx All in
Venkata Tayi: 7x5x4x3xAx

Guagenti peeled another Ax to pair up and was the last to depart the tournament before the three-table redraw.

Badugi

Nick Guagenti had just doubled up off John Monnette when he made a six-Badugi. He then moved all in around for around 60,000 the next hand and was up against Jerry Wong.

Wong took two on both the second and third draws, while Guagenti took one. Wong ended up with Q42A for a Badugi.

Guagenti was showing 53A as he peeled his last card. "It's a spade," he said, eventually turning over the J to make a better Badugi.

"Let's go. Suck it, Jerry," he cried out as Guagenti doubled up yet again.

"I folded so many spades, too," Wong added.

Schreiber Eliminated as Bubble Boy

Matthew Schreiber

Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better

David Bach raised to 15,000 from the hijack before Matthew Schreiber put his stack of 32,000 in the middle from the button. The action folded back to Bach, who made the call.

Matthew Schreiber: AA63 All in
David Bach: 7742

Schreiber had a firm lead, but Bach hit his set on the K7J flop. The 5 turn gave Schneider some low and straight outs, but the J river upgraded Bach to a full house.

"Are you f*cking kidding me, dude?" Schreiber groaned as he tossed his final chips in the pot and departed from the tournament area as the final player without a payout.
