Zobian Goes Runner-Runner Flush on the Final Table Bubble

Livello 25 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Aram Zobian
Aram Zobian

Yuzhou Yin opened from the cutoff to 100,000 and Aram Zobian three-bet to 570,000, leaving himself just 60,000 chips behind. Jonathan Pastore sat in the small blind and called, which got Yin to fold.

The flop fell 2K4 and Zobian got his last 60,000 chips into the middle and was at risk.

Aram Zobian: Q10 All in
Jonathan Pastore: 88

Zobian needed to find some help and picked up a number of extra outs when the J landed on the turn. Any ace, queen, ten, nine, or heart would save Zobian from being eliminated, otherwise the first final table of the 2024 WSOP would be set.

The final table party was put on hold momentarily as the 3 river improved Zobian to a flush, and kept him in contention with ten players remaining.

Zobian then checked and Pastore bet 100,000. Zobian called and the 3 fell on the river.

Pastore then bet 500,000 and Zobian called. "Nine," Pastore said as he showed 96 for a flush. Zobian mucked.

Livello 24 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Bryce Welker opened to 105,000 from the button and Yuzhou Yin called from the big blind.

On the all-spade J75 flop, both players checked to the 4 turn, where Yin check-called a bet of 65,000 from Welker.

The 8 landed on the river, which both players checked. Yin was first to show and tabled 109 for a flush and took down the pot.

Dukic Hero Calls Coleman

Livello 24 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

David Coleman raised to 100,000 under the gun, and Nenad Dukic called in the big blind.

The flop came Q3J, and Coleman bet 70,000. Dukic called, and the J fell on the turn.

Dukic then led out for 175,000, and Coleman called. The river was the Q, and Dukic slowed down and checked.

Coleman then bet 620,000, and Dukic tanked for a few minutes before calling. "You win," Coleman said, showing 88 for a counterfeited pair. Dukic turned over K9 to win the pot with his king-kicker.

Chris Hunichen Eliminated in 12th Place ($18,910)

Chris Hunichen
Chris Hunichen

On his last hand, Chris Hunichen found himself all in three ways with his short stack of six big blinds.

The action started with David Coleman raising to 125,000 on the button. Terry Fleischer called in the small blind. Hunichen stood up to look at stacks of other players left in the tournament and then went all in.

Coleman thought for a second and raised it to 455,000. This did not deter Fleischer, who called. Three players went to the flop with around 920,000 in the main pot and around 300,000 in the side.

The flop was K103. Fleischer was the first to act and led out for 500,000. Coleman announced he was folding. Fleischer and Hunichen could now flip over their cards.

Fleischer was ahead with middle pair, but Hunichen could still hit an ace or a queen to triple up.

However, it was not meant to be, as the 4 turn and 5 river sealed his fate.

Conniff Picks Off Zobian

Livello 24 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Aram Zobian raised to 110,000 on the button, and Asher Conniff called in the big blind.

Zobian bet another 70,000 on the 310Q flop, and Conniff called. Both players then checked the 7 turn.

The river was the J, and Zobian bet 230,000. "Ay, ay, ay," Conniff said as he went into the tank for nearly two minutes.

He eventually called, and Zobian tossed his cards in the muck, allowing Conniff to take the pot without a showdown.
