Alec Torelli
Alec Torelli

Rami Boukai opened to 60,000 from middle positon before Alec Torelli made it 200,000 from the cutoff. Matthew Davis jammed for 595,000 from the big blind, pushing Boukai out of the pot. Torelli thought for a moment and opted to call.

Matthew Davis: AA
Alec Torelli: AQ

Torelli was way behind but got excited after pairing up on the QJ4 flop. The 8 turn and 3 river were safe cards for Davis, who collected the double up.

Levy Puts Aguilera in the Tank

Livello 21 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Two players saw a flop of Q97, creating a pot of about 370,000. David Levy checked, and Jose Aguilera checked back.

The J fell on the turn, and Levy led for 130,000. Aguilera only took a couple of seconds before making the call.

When the A hit the river, Levy cut out a bet of 325,000 and pushed it across the line. Aguilera paused for a moment before asking how much Levy had behind. Levy moved his green chips so Aguilera could see his entire stack of about 550,000. Aguilera went into the tank for almost three minutes before tossing his cards into the muck.

Nakanishi Hits the Rail

Livello 21 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Shota Nakanishi opened to 55,000 from middle position and then called after Viliyan Petleshkov three-bet to 145,000 on the button.

Nakanishi check-called a continuation of 100,000 from Petleshkov on the AK4 flop to send the action to the turn.

Both players checked through the J turn to the 8 river at which point Nakanishi moved all in for 550,000, representing a pot sized bet. That sent Petleshkov into the tank as he spent around a minute contemplating his decision. Eventually he found a call with A10 and was rewarded with the pot and elimination after Nakanishi could only turn over a bluff.

Anirban Das
Anirban Das

Edward Bergman raised preflop from middle position before Anirban Das, who had known a good start to his day, three-bet to 160,000 from the button.

The blinds folded before Bergman announced his all-in for around 1,000,000 chips and Das made the call.

Edward Bergman: A9
Anirban Das: 1010

Bergman flopped a sweat on KQ2 with a draw to a flush, but the 10 turn diminished his outs, giving Das a set.

The river paired Bergman with the A, but it was no good and he exited the tournament.

Meanwhile, Das is playing a stack of over five million chips.

A New Champion Will be Crowned

Livello 21 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Joe Hachem
Joe Hachem

With Chris Moneymaker recently making his way to the payout desk, Joe Hachem was the only previous WSOP Main Event champion still in the field. Hachem raised it up to 60,000 in early position and Mason Vieth three-bet to 180,000 from a couple of seats over. Hachem just called and the dealer fanned the flop of A102.

Hachem checked to Vieth who continued with a bet of 200,000 and Hachem called. The turn brought the 5 and Hachem checked again. Vieth jammed all in and Hachem called off the rest of his chips of around 600,000.

Joe Hachem: AxQx
Mason Vieth: KJ

Hachem was out front with the only pair but Vieth had a combo draw to look forward to. The river was the 8 and Vieth made his flush, sending Hachem out of the tournament on Day 5.

Moneymaker Eliminated by Brown

Chris Moneymaker

Down to the last 345,000, Chris Moneymaker pushed all-in from the hijack and was looked up by Ryan Brown from one seat over on the feature tables while all players behind got out of the way.

Chris Moneymaker: 55
Ryan Brown: KK

The 973 flop gave Moneymaker some equity with potential running outs to a straight. However, that hope instantly vanished on the K turn to make the 3 river a formality.

Drama At Table 671

Livello 21 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Harsheel Kothari was in a heads-up pot against Bohdan Slyvinskyi on a board of 4J5, but his attention was elsewhere.

With the hand underway, Kothari was in an argument with the player to his right, Thomas Zanot, who insisted Kothari leave him alone and called the floor over for the second time.

"I told you I want him to stop talking to me," Zanot told the floor, who asked Kothari to respect his request.

Zanot then began slagging off Kothari as he faced a bet of 50,000 in the pot that had a fraction of his attention, with Zanot yelling to another table that "I'm sure this is normal behavior for him. I'm sure he does this every tournament."

"You say I'm not allowed to talk to you and then you start talking sh**," Kothari said in frustration as he called.

Kothari faced a bet of 220,000 on the 9 turn and he folded as he continued to bicker about the situation.

"Table change!" laughed Ahmed Nimer.

"Yeah, table change," grumbled Kothari.
