Kottler Takes From Brewer

Livello 14 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Action was joined on the 6JJ flop. Jeremy Kottler checked from middle position before Chris Brewer bet 23,000 from late position. Kottler made the call.

The turn came K, and this time Kottler led out in the amount of 80,000 with Brewer coming along.

The 6 arrived on the river, and Kottler took his time. "140," he announced, to which Brewer immediately slid his cards into the muck.

Neeme Doubles After Spiking Turn

Livello 14 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

A player in early position raised to 10,000 and was called by the player on the button. Andrew Neeme then shoved for his last 70,000 from the big blind and only the inital raiser called to put Neeme at risk.

Andrew Neeme: 99
Early-position player: 1010

Neeme looked resigned to his fate on the 6QA flop, but the 9 drilled Neeme's pocket pair for a set of nines on the turn. The Q river was safe for Neeme and he doubled up late in the evening.

Putz Raises Big on the River

Livello 14 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Max Hirshik and Andreas Putz were heads-up on a completed board of 34510A when Hirshik, in the big blind, led out for 71,000.

Putz then announced a raise to 300,000 and buried his head on the rail of the table while Hirshik considered the decision. "Do you even have 300," Hirshik wondered as he peeked at Putz's stack.

Hirshik eventually called and Putz showed him A6 for the nut flush. The dealer confirmed Putz had enough to make the raise before handing him the pot.

Zakhem Eliminated in Set-Over-Set Situation

Livello 14 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

On a flop of A45, Nicolas Zakhem raised all in for roughly 75,000 over a bet from his opponent. The player snap called and the cards were tabled.

Nicolas Zakhem: 4x4x
Opponent: AA

The flop had given both players a set, but Zakhem was the one drawing very slim for his tournament life. The last remaining four did not appear on the 68 runout and his opponent's set of aces held up to spell the end for the chairman of the Botswana Football League.

Boukai Takes a Big Chunk Off Seymour

Livello 14 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Three-handed on a board of A9810, a player on the button bet 21,000 before Rami Boukai, in the small blind, raised to 130,000.

Richard Seymour in early position tanked for a moment and asked Boukai how many chips he had left before he called, while the button got out of the way.

The river came the 6 and both players quickly checked. Seymour had 99 for a set, but Boukai showed him 76 for a turned straight to take down the big pot.

Francisco Benitez
Francisco Benitez

Francisco Benitez had opened when a short stack went all in for around 50,000 chips. Benitez doubted for a while but eventually made the call.

Opponent: QQ
Francisco Benitez: A10

It was looking like the player would double up on 31048, but the A river granted Benitez the better hand and he won the pot.
.
In the meantime, the tables in the Silver section are breaking at rapid speed as the Day 3 field is shrinking by the minute.
