Dzivielevski Gets Fei to Fold River

Action was picked up on a board of 5♠A♣5♦2♥ and Wesley "Westside" Fei checked from the small blind to Yuri Dzivielevski on the button who bet 4,800. Fei thought it over for a moment before making the call.

The river landed a 10♠ and Fei checked again. Dzivielevski quickly threw out a bet of 15,000 and Fei thought it over before eventually folding.

Dzivielevski scooped and chipped up early in Day 1.

A player in early position and Juha Helppi on the button both checked their options on a flop showing 9♣7♠2♥ in a pot of 7,000. The J♠ hit the turn and the early position player checked a second time to Helppi who tossed out a bet of 3,500.

The early position player took a moment, but in the end laid it down and Helppi was awarded the pot.

Jin Li limped from late position as did the button and small blind. The big blind checked his option and all four players headed to a 6♣10♦J♠ flop.

The blinds checked to Li who announced a pot-sized bet of 3,000. The button and small blind got out of the way but the big blind called to see the 4♠ hit the turn.

Both players checked through to see the Q♦ fall on the river.

The big blind checked to Li who tossed out another bet, this time for 4,000. The big blind folded, conceding the pot to Li without showdown.

Weisman Sends Opponent to the Rail

There was an open from the cutoff to 2,000. Dylan Weisman three-bet from the button to 6,900. The blinds folded and the cutoff called.

The flop came 5♦9♦10♥ and the cutoff opted to lead for 10,000. Weisman called.

The turn brought a 3♥ putting a second flushdraw onboard and the cutoff thought for about a minute before pushing the remainder of his chips in. Weisman shrugged and put in chips for a call.

Cutoff: A♦4♦Q♥6♥
Dylan Weisman: Q♠10♠J♥4♥

The cutoff had two flush draws and Weisman had a pair and open ender.

The river landed a blank 4♠ and Weisman would fade all of the flush outs to scoop a monster with two pair.

Tran Gets One Through

In a heads-up pot with close to 8,000 in the middle on a board showing 8♣4♥3♠7♦, J.C. Tran checked from the cutoff and the player on the button checked back.

The K♣ hit the river and Tran announced a bet of 4,000. His opponent went deep in the tank, but after close to 30 seconds, let it go and Tran scooped the pot.

On a flop reading 3♦7♠2♣, Giuseppe Liantonio jammed for his last 5,000 or so and got called by Sam Farha in the big blind as the two players headed to a runout with Liantonio at risk.

Liantonio was ahead and when the turn and river ran out the 7♣ and the A♦, he finished with the best hand to secure a full double through Farha.

John turned a wrap when the 2♦ hit the turn. "Give him a six!" his opponent said as it would have given him the nuts and Holley a lower straight. "Lets see an ace" Holley replied back and right at that moment the dealer burned and turned the A♣ on the driver giving Holley the wheel and earning him the pure double.
