Martin Puts The Squeeze; Hoose Pot is That

Livello 15 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

The player on the button limped in an unopened pot, the small blind called, and Kevin Martin put his chips to work, raising it up to 23,000. The button and the small blind both snapped their hands in the muck and he scooped the pot.

Just one hand later, the player on the button lamented raising to 15,000 instead of 12,000 when the player to his left went all in against him.

This next hand took place just two tables over:

A player in middle position raised to 15,000 and was called by Rob Van Hoose on the button, as well as Ari Engel in the big blind.

Three ways, they saw the flop of Q2J. Engel and the initial raiser both tapped the table. Van Hoose took some time before assembling a bet of 23,000.

Engel quickly folded and the initial raiser went deep in the tank, eventually landing on a raise to 64,000. Van Hoose had a long think himself before clicking it to 101,000. The middle-position player pushed the rest of their chips in the middle and Van Hoose made the call.

Rob Van Hoose: AQ
Middle Position: 77

Van Hoose was firmly ahead with his pair of aces with an ace kicker, and when the A rolled, it only left one chance for a seven, but it fell the 5 instead.

Whitesell Flops Quads in All-In Pot

Livello 15 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Rick Whitesell was at risk against Venkata Muramalla before the flop and both hands were tabled.

Rick Whitesell: 77
Venkata Muramalla: 88

Whitesell was dominated but the 772 flop gave him quad sevens. The 3 hit the turn, leaving Muramalla drawing dead and the 8 landed on the river to rub salt in the wounds of Muramalla.

Rottigni Cracks Jacks

Livello 15 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

The hijack raised and the cutoff called before Christopher Rottigni defended his big blind.

When the AK8 flop hit the felt, all three players checked.

The 6 hit the turn and Rottigni checked again, and the hijack fired 26,000. The cutoff quickly folded and Rottigni made the call.

When the Q completed the board, both players quickly knuckled the table. Rottigni showed A5 which was good as his opponent said "I knew it," while showing JJ.

Weisner's Aces Send One Out

Livello 14 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Melanie Weisner
Melanie Weisner

The button opened to 12,000 and Melanie Weisner three-bet to 30,000 in the small blind. The big blind got out of the way, and the button made the call.

The dealer spread a flop of QJ7, and Weisner continued for 30,000. The button thought about it for a moment and shoved his stack of about 120,000 in the middle and Weisner wasted no time making the call.

Button: KJ
Melanie Weisner: AA

Weisner's aces were able to hold as the board completed with the 3 on the turn and the 10 on the river.

Olga Iermolcheva was facing a raise to 10,000 and when she looked at the clock to see what the blind level was, she shrugged and went all in.

When the player on the button went to sweat his cards to see if he had a hand to call with, Iermolcheva expressively waved her hand at at him saying, "Easy fold, easy fold." He laughed and told her she was right.

By the time it got back to the initial raiser, she was asked, "Do you want me to call?"

Candidly, Iermolcheva responsed with, "Honestly, no; I don't want a call. Normally, I would never say this, but if you fold I will show."

Not convinced, the initial raiser shook her head and contemplated the call but ultimately folding AK and Iermolcheva lived up to her word and showed 1010.

Her opponent said she put her on a big pair and that it wasn't worth it to put her chips at risk and Iermolcheva wholeheartedly agreed.

Deschaneaux Gets Value with Kings

Livello 13 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Dylan Deschaneaux raised 8,000 in the cutoff and the button called before Rachel Delatorre defended the big blind.

The dealer spread a flop of AA10 and all three players checked.

The 5 hit the turn, and Delatorre check-called a bet of 7,000 from Deschaneaux, while the button folded.

When the 7 landed on the river, Delatorre checked for a final time and Deschaneaux fired a bet of 27,000 into the middle. Delatorre gave it quite a bit of thought before eventually making the call.

Deschaneaux tabled KK and Delatorre showed J10 before the dealer mucked her hand.
