Revizada Eliminated as Outs Don’t Come

Livello 6 : Limits 600/1,200, 0 ante

Ronnie Revizada entered Level 5 as a short stack, but that didn’t curb his enthusiasm.

With less than 4,000 to start a hand, Revizada, who was in late position, found himself in a hand with a player to his immediate left and Dennis Kim, who was in early position on a flop of AJ10.

Kim led out with a bet into Revizada, who raised. The player to his immediate left and Kim called. The turn produced 9, which Kim checked. Revizada then made an all-in bet with his remaining chips. The player to his immediate left called, only to face Kim’s raise, which forced a fold.

“Did you flop a straight?” Revizada asked.

“I have a set,” said Kim, who tabled 1010.

“I have outs!” Revizada exclaimed as he tabled A9.

With action to the river, Revizada needed one of the two remaining Aces to hit the board. The 9 came on the river, giving Revizada a full house and false hope.

“I hit my outs!” Revizada exclaimed.

His joy, however, quickly disappeared as he realized he held an inferior full house to Kim’s 10s full. Revizada took the beat in stride and wished the table well before exiting the event space.

A player in the under-the-gun position limped and got raised by the player in the cutoff. Evelyn Iraheta called from the big blind and the under-the-gun player called as well to see a QQ2 flop.

Iraheta and the player under the gun both check-called a bet from the cutoff before seeing the 5 on the turn.

Iraheta opted to lead with a bet that was quickly called by both the under-the-gun and cutoff players before the dealer put out the 10 on the river.

Iraheta led again which prompted a fold from the under-the-gun player and a call from the cutoff. She turned over 22 for a flopped full house and her opponent's hand hit the muck.

A button raise didn’t deter two-time WSOP bracelet winner Humberto Brenes, who sat in the big blind and elected to defend after the small blind folded.

With heads-up action, the flop produced AQ7 for the two players. Brenes checked, and the player on the button bet, which Brenes immediately called to bring the action to the turn, where the 6 hit the board.

Brenes checked, leading to the player on the button to bet once again, only to see Brenes quickly check-call a second time. The dealer then placed 3 on the river, and both players checked down the action.

Brenes tabled A8, and the player on the button tossed his hand face down to the dealer, who pushed the pot to Brenes.

Two Pair Helps Gray Secure Pot

Livello 4 : Limits 500/1,000, 0 ante

William Gray's two pair proved more than enough to take down a pot shortly after the first break.

Gray limped in early position, only to see a player in late position raise. The button and small blind folded, and then the big blind and Gray called, bringing the action to the flop, which produced 83A.

The big blind and Gray checked, placing the action on the late-position player, who promptly bet. The big blind folded, but Gray called. The 2 hit the the turn and both players checked to the river, where the dealer placed 8 on the board.

Gray led out with the bet, and the late-position player called only to see Gray’s A2 for two pair. The player then folded his hand as the dealer pushed the pot to Gray.
