Panka Brings Heat with Suited Connectors

Livello 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Dominik Panka showed he didn’t need a premium hand to get action.

Panka raised to 2,200 in early position. The action folded around to a player in the big blind, who flatted.

The flop saw Q34, which the big blind checked. Panka bet 2,000, which the big blind called.

The dealer placed the 5 on the turn, which the big blind checked. Panka then muscled up for a 10,000 bet, which grabbed his opponent’s attention. The player then took a bit to act, looking at the board before cupping his hands in front of his face. He was observed blowing into his hands, and then after almost a full minute, he called.

The 7 appeared on the river and both players checked. The player in the big blind showed J3, while Panka tabled 87 for the win.

Button: 102
Jessica Teusl: AQ

The button got it in with 'The Doyle' that gave them an open-ended straight draw but was behind Teusl's top pair. The straight didn't come as 5A completed the board to give Teusl top two pair and she claimed their second bounty of the day.

Shih Spikes Set on Flop

Livello 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

A player in late position raised 2,000, and then faced resistance from Justin Shih, who three-bet to 7,500. His opponent called to bring the flop.

The dealer fanned AQK on the board, and with it came fireworks.

Shih led out with 6,000, and his opponent came over the top by going all-in, covering Shih.

Shih, though, was undeterred and snap called.

Battistone on the Charge

Livello 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

With 4,000 in the middle on a flop of Q62, the button bet 2,800 and was called by Brian Battistone in middle position very quickly.

The K on the turn brought a second flush draw in play and the button bet 4,200. Within an instant, Battistone slid 30,000 chips into the middle putting the button at risk. The button went into the tank, but eventually made the fold.
