With 3,692 entries on Day 1a of Event #48: $1,000 Seniors No-Limit Hold'em, the contest looks certain to exceed last year’s total of 7,188.
An even larger field is expected on Day 1b, meaning that this tournament will follow the trend at the 2023 World Series of Poker, and become a record-breaking event here at Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas.
Frank Harrington, better known to many as “Skullman”, bagged the Day 1a chip lead with a whopping 445,000 chip count.
But he will face some stiff competition from other big stacks – Rajesh Goyal (429,000), Christian Munk (427,000), Joshua Mountain (383,000), and Mark Seif (355,000) – when those players return for Day 2, on June 23.
