Only fifteen players remain in Event #44: $3,000 No-Limit Hold'em at the 2023 World Series of Poker, with only one former bracelet winner still in contention.

Leading the way is Aram Oganyan, who will be in pole position when play resumes at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 22.

The solo bracelet winner still alive is Ankush Mandavia. He won his bracelet seven years ago in 2016, and he is hoping this year will be lucky number seven to add additional hardware to his collection.

Day 3 Recap

A bumper field of 109 returned for Day 3, and they were led by Yang Zhang, who topped the field with a stack of 1,880,000. Notables who also returned to the action included 2022 WSOP Main Event champion Espen Jorstad and six-time bracelet winner and fan favorite Daniel Negreanu.

Several players were vying for the position of big stack, with Zhang moving ahead after the eliminations of Justin Chu and Christian Roberts nearing the two-table redraw. Then it was Shannon Shorr's turn to go on a tear as he increased his stack from 2,300,000 to 8,750,000 to end the day second in chips.

The field continued to get smaller, with Jeff Lennon and Drew O’Connell having been eliminated in 18th and 17th place, respectively. Surprisingly, it was Oganyan who bagged the biggest stack of the night with 9,900,000. He had a massive pot with kings to eliminate Klemens Roiter in 16th place right as the night ended.

The action resumes at 11:00 a.m. on June 22 with the blinds resuming on Level 31 at 100,000/200,000 and a big blind ante of 200,000. Play will continue for the day until a winner is crowned. Each player has locked up at least $30,873 thus far, but the largest share of the prize pool is yet to be given away; a cool $717,879!

The PokerNews live reporting team will be back on the tournament floor to bring you all of the highlights and updates en route to the thrilling finale.
