Toledano's Top Pair Takes Down the Pot

Livello 12 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

A player raised in early position to 6,500 finding two callers; Valeriano Toledano in middle position and Chris Hunichen in the big blind.

The flop came down 510K. The action was checked to the preflop aggressor who bet out for 7,000. Only Toledano called and two players went to the turn.

The 3 fell and Toledano was faced with another bet of 12,000, which he called.

The river came the J and the action checked through. The original raiser tabled QJ, unfortunately, a pair of jacks was no good against the KQ of Toledano who took down this pot.

Livello 11 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Danny Tang
Danny Tang

The action folded to Danny Tang on the button who only took a moment before slowly and quietly moving all of his chips into the middle. He was sneaky enough that the dealer didn't see for about 20 seconds before tossing him the all in button. The small blind folded but the big blind called pretty quickly.

The cards hit their back.

Danny Tang: 66
Big Blind: AQ

"I'm ahead." Tang said "I just have to stay ahead to keep my 10k...for now"

The board ran out 29K109 and Tang scored a much needed double.

Rast Ships the Turn

Brian Rast
Brian Rast

Action folded to Brian Rast in the cutoff who opened to 4,000. The button folded but both of the blinds made the call. The players were off to a flop three ways.

The JQ5 flop hit the felt and action quickly checked through.

The turn brought a 3. The small blind checked but the big blind opted to lead for 6,000. Action was now on Rast who went deep into the tank but eventually opted to put enough chips out to cover both of the players in the blinds. The small blind snap folded but the big blind needed a moment. He thought through his options but eventually landed on laying down his hand and staying alive.

Rast dragged the pot and kept a healthy stack as they moved towards the end of late registration.
