Viliyan Petleshkov Eliminated In 22nd Place ($22,077)

Livello 24 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Viliyan Petleshkov
Viliyan Petleshkov

The action folded to Jesse Lonis in the cutoff, who opened for 110,000, and Viliyan Petleshkov moved all in for just over 1,100,000 in the big blind. Lonis made the call with a slightly bigger stack, and the cards were shown.

Viliyan Petleshkov: A10
Jesse Lonis: AQ

Petleshkov was in need of help to stay alive, but when the board ran out Q3298, it was the ace-queen for Lonis that scored the pot to send Petleshkov out in 22nd place.

Fabrice Bigot Eliminated in 24th Place ($18,569); William Stanford Eliminated in 23rd Place ($22,077)

William Stanford opened to 100,000 from the hijack, and Fabrice Bigot raised most of his stack, leaving himself just a couple thousand behind.

James Vecchio then shoved himself on the button, having both players covered. Both blinds folded, and both Standord and Bigot called to be put at risk.

James Vecchio: AK
Fabrice Bigot: AxJx
William Standord: QQ

The 538K5 runout paired Vecchio's king, and he eliminated both Bigot and Stanford.

Petleshkov's Big Slick Finds a Double Up

Livello 24 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Jesse Lonis opened the action to 115,000 from the cutoff and it folded to Viliyan Petleshkov in the big blind who moved all in for 560,000. Lonis went deep in the tank, but after close to a minute, made the call to put Petleshkov at risk.

Viliyan Petleshkov: AK
Jesse Lonis: A6

Petleshkov was in great shape with the better kicker, and when the board ran out Q53A4, it was the ace-king that held up to score a full double up for Petleshkov.

Some of the Best Poker Players Who Haven't Won a WSOP Bracelet

Livello 24 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
WSOP Bracelet Winners
WSOP Bracelet Winners

While winning a World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet is one of the greatest accomplishments a poker player can achieve, many of the greatest and most successful players in the game have yet to put one on their wrists.

PokerNews has had a decent track record with highlighting players without bracelets who have gone on to win them. Jason Koon won a maiden bracelet in 2021 after making the "Best Without a Bracelet" list that year, while Dan Smith and Alex Foxen both found bracelets in 2022 to be removed from that year's list.

With the 2023 WSOP happening now, here's a look at some of the best players who have yet to add a World Series bracelet to their long lists of accolades.

Check out our list of "Best Without a Bracelet" here!

Brockmann Doubles Through Chen

Livello 24 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

James Chen opened to 100,000 on the button and was three-bet to 300,000 by Henrik Brockmann in the big blind. Chen called.

The flop came 1087 and Brockmann went all in for 470,000. Chen called to put Brockmann at risk and hands were tabled.

Henrik Brockmann: AA
James Chen: KJ

Brockmann was ahead, but would need to fade a bevy of outs to survive.

The 7 turn and 3 river were safe for Brockmann and he doubled up.

Players on Break

Livello 23 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

The remaining 25 players are now on a 15-minute break.

A three-table redraw will commence once the field loses one more player.

Ghaneian Raises Grech Out

Livello 23 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Arash Ghaneian and Zachary Grech were both in for 180,000 a piece preflop.

Ghaneian check-called a 110,000 bet from the small blind against Grech, who was on the button, on the 26J flop.

The 3 came on the turn and Ghaneian checked again — prompting an 80,000 bet from Grech. This time, Ghaneian raised to 500,000 and Grech quickly let his hand go.

Lonis Takes Big Pot From Chen

Livello 23 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

In a heads-up pot with roughly 400,000 in the middle on a board showing KJ8A, Jesse Lonis bet out 260,000 from under the gun and James Chen made the call from the hijack.

On the 8 river Lonis kept up the aggression with a bet of 570,000 and Chen went deep in the tank. After close to a minute of thought, Chen reluctantly folded and the pot was sent to Lonis.

As Lonis scooped in the chips he showed the Q to leave Chen guessing if he made the right decision.
