Fuchs Chips Up Against Nakamura

Livello 7
Carol Fuchs
Carol Fuchs

No-Limit Hold'em

Tamon Nakamura raised first to act and was called by Carol Fuchs, who then also called a bet on the 663 flop. On the Q turn, Nakamura bet again and Fuchs raised to 17,000 for Nakamura to come along to the 8 river.

Nakamura then slowed down and checked as Fuchs bet 25,000 on the button. That sent her opponent into the tank before Nakamura eventually settled on a fold.

Levi No More; Rast Chipping Up

Livello 6

Razz

David Levi made a deep run in the $1,500 version of this event but he could never get much going today. The stack was cut into half right away and he was just spotted on his way out. Brian Rast scooped up the remainder of what he had left with an eighty-seven in Razz and the empty seat was filled by David Funkhouser.

Filippi No More

Livello 6
Amnon Filippi
Amnon Filippi

The seat of Amnon Filippi was empty and two players share big stacks on the same table in Adam Friedman and Nathaniel Katzoff.

Filippi had taken a hit to the stack not long ago when Rob Hollink earned three quarters in a Big O pot. On a board of 85433, the AK762 of Hollink made an eight-high straight and the nut low while Filippi's AJ65Xx only had the same straight.

Hui Doubles Through Valeo

Livello 6

2-7 Triple Draw

Down to a mere 2,300, Phil Hui moved all-in and was called by table big stack Matthew Valeo. Both discarded two each on the first draw while Valeo took two on the second compared to the one of Hui. On the final draw, Hui patted and Valeo took one again.

Hui flipped over the 8x6x5x3x2x and was up against Valeo's 7x5x4x2x draw. He peeled it and then mucked with the words "three across".

Katzoff Off to a Decent Start

Livello 6

Big O

In the last hand of Stud 8 or better, Nathaniel Katzoff bet all the way and was paid off by Yuval Bronshtein to show an eight-high straight and low for the scoop. Soon after in Big O, Katzoff bet out Nick Guagenti on a seven-high turn with three diamonds and tabled the A2 for the ace-high flush and nut low.

Wearing a sparkling hat, Katzoff is certainly easy to find in the field and boosted his stack right away after entering not long ago.

Vieira Leaves Hui on Fumes

Razz

Phil Hui: XxXx / 10x8xAxJx / Xx
Joao Vieira: XxXx / 6xJx2x4x / Xx

Phil Hui had lost a big portion of his stack early on and dropped into the danger zone soon after. He called down bets by Joao Vieira on fifth and sixth street to then face another bet on seventh. With just two bets behind, Hui folded and was left with a mountain to climb.
