Nick Schulman Eliminated in 7th Place ($56,729)

Nick Schulman (7th Place- $56,729)

David Bach raised to 75,000 in middle position and was called by Phil Laak in the cutoff. When action reached Nick Schulman in the big blind, he announced a raise and made it 245,000 more to go. Bach instantly repotted, Laak folded, and Schulman called off for a total of 600,000.

Bach: {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}
Schulman: {6-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}

Schulman was behind and had quite the hill to climb. The {10-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{8-Hearts} gave Schulman a pair of fives, leaving him in need of some help. The {8-Spades} turn was not what he was looking for, and neither was the {6-Diamonds} river. Bach held the nut low with aces and eights, enough to scoop the pot and send Schulman bolting for the exit in seventh place.

Peter Charalambous Eliminated in 6th Place ($74,845)

Livello 25 : 15,000/30,000, 0 ante
Peter Charalambous - 6th place
Peter Charalambous - 6th place

First into the pot, Bryce Yockey pot-raised to 105,000 from the button, and Peter Charalambous three-bet shoved for 225,000 from the big blind. Yockey only had 215,000 total, and he called all in looking for the double.

Showdown
Yockey: {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{5-Spades}{4-Spades}
Charalambous: {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{2-Clubs}{2-Spades}

Yockey sure liked the {8-Clubs} {A-Spades} {A-Diamonds} flop a great deal, and he pulled into a big lead with trips. The turn {4-Diamonds} and river {8-Spades} further improved him to aces full, and he doubled to 445,000. Charalambous stood up, threw his bag over his shoulder, and said his goodbyes to the table. But he still had 10,000 chips left.

Charalambous was all in from the small blind on the next hand, and he had kings again: {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}. Nick Binger bet David Bach out on a {7-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{6-Spades} flop, and he turned over a hand that could beat the at-risk player: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{3-Clubs}. Binger turned trips into a full house on the {A-Diamonds} turn, and Charalambous was drawing dead to the {7-Clubs} river. With that, he becomes our sixth-place finisher, walking out with just shy of $75,000 as a reward for his fine efforts this week.

Trevor Reader Eliminated in 5th Place ($99,512)

Phil Laak raised to 75,000 under the gun and found a caller in Nick Binger in the cutoff. When action reached Trevor Reader in the small blind, he potted to 330,000, which both Laak and Binger called. Reader proceeded to move all in for 160,000 on the {K-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{A-Diamonds} flop, and again both Laak and Binger made the call.

The two active players then checked the {A-Clubs} turn, leading to the {10-Hearts} river. Laak checked, Binger bet 430,000, and Laak release his hand. Binger revealed {A-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{7-Spades} for aces full of tens, which bested Reader's {A-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{2-Spades}.

Reader was eliminated from the tournament in fifth place while Binger took over the chip lead with 2.495 million.

Phil Laak Eliminated in 4th Place ($133,377)

Phil Laak (4th Place- $133,377)
Phil Laak (4th Place- $133,377)

Phil Laak was under the gun and raised to 80,000, which David Bach called from the big blind. Both players checked the {8-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{8-Spades} flop, leading to the {10-Diamonds} on the turn. Bach checked for a second time, and after a moment's thought, Laak fired out 150,000. Bach thought for a bit and then check-raised enough to put Laak all in.

Laak didn't seem happy about it, but committed his remaining stack nonetheless.

Laak: {A-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}
Bach: {A-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{8-Clubs}

"Oh, why did I bet?" Laak lamented after seeing Bach's flopped full house. The {Q-Spades} river didn't change a thing and Laak became our fourth-place finisher, worth $133,377.
