Lull in the Action

Livello 26 : 20,000/40,000, 0 ante

Just when we thought things were about to heat up, the action seems to have hit a wall. At this point, raise-and-take-its and walks have become the norm. We're guessing that'll change sooner than later.

One for Bach

Nick Binger raised to 120,000 on the button and David Bach called from the big blind. Both players checked the {J-Hearts}{J-Spades}{3-Hearts} flop, leading to the {6-Hearts} on the turn. Bach took the initiative and led out for 240,000, which was met with a pot-sized reraise from Binger.

The amount proved too much for Bach as he laid down his hand, much to the delight of Binger's rail.

Speaking of Binger's rail, he has an eclectic mix of poker pros and personalities sweating his action here at the secondary feature table in the Amazon Room. Michael Binger, Liv Boeree, James Dempsey, Darryll Fish, Matt Waxman, Xuan Liu, Dan Shak, Gloria Balding, Kevin MacPhee, and Jeff Madsen, among others, are currently enjoying some spirits and cheering on their man.

Binger Slides

Nick Binger limped on the button while David Bach checked his option from the big blind. When the flop came down {K-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{4-Spades}, Bach checked, Binger bet 75,000, Bach check-raised to 225,000, and Binger called.

The {2-Hearts} turn inspired Bach to bet pot, which was 550,000, and Binger called. Both players then checked the {9-Hearts} river and Bach rolled over {K-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{2-Clubs} for kings and nines. It proved good enough to win as Binger slide his cards to the muck.

Binger Headed in the Right Direction

David Bach raised to 150,000 on the button only to be met with a three-bet to 450,000 by Nick Binger in the big blind. Bach made the call only to muck on the {2-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{J-Diamonds} flop after Binger bet 900,000.

Binger is back up to 2.1 million and seems to have momentum on his side has he has taken down a few subsequent, albeit small, pots.

All In and a Chop

Livello 27 : 25,000/50,000, 0 ante

David Bach raised to 150,000 on the button and Nick Binger came along for the ride in the big blind. The latter player proceeded to check-call a bet of 300,000 on the {9-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{6-Hearts} flop, which was followed by two checks on the {5-Clubs} turn.

When the {5-Diamonds} peeled off on the river, Binger bet 575,000, Bach raised pot, and Binger called off.

Binger: {A-Diamonds}{3-Spades}(X)(X)
Bach: {6-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{5-Hearts}{4-Hearts}

Bach had the high hand locked up with his full house, but Binger held the nut low. It was a chopped pot, which quickly dampened the excitement that temporarily gripped the spectators.

Binger Takes the Chip Lead

Nick Binger called on the button while David Bach decided to exercise his option in the big blind with a raise to 100,000. Binger came along and then called another 100,000 bet on the {J-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{2-Hearts} flop. When the {J-Hearts} hit the turn, Bach bet 250,000 and Binger quickly raised pot, or 1.15 million.

Bach thought for a bit before folding his hand, giving up the chip lead in the process.

Bach in the Lead

Heads Up: David Bach & Nick Binger
Heads Up: David Bach & Nick Binger

David Bach limped on the button and Nick Binger checked his option in the big blind to bring about the {10-Spades}{7-Spades}{2-Clubs} flop. Binger lead out for 75,000, Bach called, and the {9-Spades} hit the turn. Both players checked, leading to the {2-Diamonds} on the river.

At this point Binger bet 250,000, Bach raised to 750,000, and Binger called.

Bach: {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs}
Binger: {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{5-Clubs}

It was a bit of a cooler for Binger, who held nines full against the superior tens full of Bach.

"You just called, Nick," Dan Shak offered support from the rail. "It was a good just call."

Binger Scoops His Way Back to the Lead

Nick Binger called on the button and David Bach checked his option in the big blind, leading to a flop of {A-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{7-Hearts}. Bach checked, Binger bet 75,000, Bach check-raised to 225,000, and Binger made the call.

Bach kept the pressure on with a 550,000 pot-sized bet. Binger called, which perked up his rail a bet, and the {10-Hearts} appeared on the turn. Both players checked and the cards were turned up.

Bach: {3-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}
Binger: {Q-Clubs}{4-Spades}{2-Hearts}{4-Clubs}

Binger's had was good enough for both the high and the low, allowing him to scoop the large pot, which happened to put him back int he lead.
