Earlier this World Series, there was an issue with the official 2011 WSOP playing cards. There were small markings printed on the back of certain cards. It became a problem to the point that they had new cards printed and often used old decks that did not have the misprint before the new decks arrived.
Today we have had another problem with marked cards. Bryce Yockey, Dan Heimiller and company continued to pull out cards that were alleged to be indented with a nail or prick mark. After having already removed a number of cards, many if not all of which were Aces according to the players at the table, one such competitor yelled to Yockey as the cards were being dealt, "I bet that's an Ace". Yockey held onto the card until the end of the hand and showed it to the table. Sure enough it was the Ace of hearts.
Recently, another marked Ace was plucked from Nick Binger and Allen Kessler's table. Binger, who was at the original table, appears to be unhappy with what's going on. During the break, Kessler was interviewed by Sarah Grant and mentioned that he had a similar problem yesterday but with random cards, not just Aces.
We will continue to monitor if cards are pulled out from tables and which specific cards are replaced.

We caught up with the action heads up on a 
flop and around 35,000 already in the pot. It looked as though David Paredes bet and then Anders Taylor raised the pot. Paredes re-potted and whatever exactly happened eventually led to Paredes being all in and at risk.

Taylor had top pair and the king-high flush draw against the middle set of queens of Paredes. The 
on the turn gave Taylor a low draw and the 
on the river completed that low plus gave him his flush to scoop the pot and eliminate Paredes. And just like that we have a new chip leader in Anders Taylor.

Fabrizio Gonzalez made it 10,000 under the gun, and Adam Latimer came back with a raise all in to 31,000. Action folded back around to Gonzalez, who made the call.

, giving Latimer an open ended straight draw and a low draw. The turn helped neither player, coming the 
, and the river missed Latimer, coming the 
. Gonzalez scooped the pot with his 7-low and his pair of aces. Latimer was eliminated, bringing us one closer to the money.

We caught Bjorn Verbakel shipping over the all in chips of Nick Binger's 151,500-chip stack with the board reading 
. Binger's hand was still face up and he held 
for a full house. As he raked in the chips, Binger asked the dealer, "What was the hand that called me?"
Apparently Verbakel had 
with two clubs. Either way, he is left with just 60,000 as we near the bubble.

With the latest elimination that we will have for you in a second, the 37 remaining players are now on the money bubble.
Austin Marks min-raised to 10,000 from under the gun and it was folded all the way around to the big blind in Evan Sofer who called. On the 
flop, Sofer led for 10,000 and Marks raised the pot. Sofer called all in for the 12,000 he had left as the players flipped their hands.

Sofer’s pair of sixes were ahead for the time being plus he had a wrap and a low draw against the pair of fives and nut-low draw of Marks. The turn changed nothing but the 
on the river gaves Marks tens up to eliminate Sofer in 38th place, just two short of the money.

Anders Taylor raised it up to 10,000, and Vaswani raised pot, which was for most of his stack. It folded to Trevor Reader, who reraised all in for around 70,000 total. Taylor thought for 30 seconds before folding, and Vaswani put the small amount leftover for a call.

Ram Vaswani moved all in for his last 11,500 in early position and was called by the man who crippled him, Trevor Reader, who was next to act as well as Gary Bolden from the big blind.
Reader and Bolden both checked the 
flop and 
turn until the hit the river and Bolden bet 20,000. Reader folded and Bolden turned over for a flush. Vaswani flipped up however for the nut flush which was good to win the hand and keep him alive.

Lee Watkinson raised the pot on the button and Brandon Paster, who was all in against Watkinson the previous hand when the two chopped, raised all in from the big blind for 22,000 total. Watkinson made the call and after having to wait until the other tables were finished their hands, the players flipped their cards.

Paster was ahead until the flop came down to give Watkinson the lead with bottom set. Paster could still stay alive with an ace, jack or running cards. The turn was the to give Paster a flush draw but the river was the to fill Watkinson up and eliminate Paster in 37th place, one short of the money as this tournament’s bubble boy. The remaining players will now all receive at least $10,091 for their efforts.
