As we begin the last one-hour level of the night, just 162 remain from the starting field of 946. That's 784 eliminations in nine hours, an average of about 1.32 players hitting the rail per minute.

Our own Chris Hall recently stopped by the media desk to give us the unfortunate news that he has been eliminated from the tournament. According to Hall, he held and raised to 2,800 preflop, leaving himself 2,900 behind. He received a call from the player in the big blind, who bet enough to put Hall in on the flop.
Hall called off with his nut-flush draw, but needed to improve against the big blind's . Unfortunately for Hall, a on the turn ended his hopes of a PLO8 title. On a brighter note, Hall's birthday is tomorrow and we have no doubt he'll have himself a good time . . . most likely playing Pai Gow.
We came on this one after all of the cards had been dealt and the counting of chips had begun. The result -- Dario Alioto scored a timely double-up. The board showed , Alioto held (aces for high and a 7-5 low), and his opponent (fours and a worse low).
As the chips were counted, Alioto's opponent confessed he'd thought he had a straight when the chips went in. Alioto is up over 30,000 now.
We came in on the turn when Alex Wice bet 3,600 and Erick Lindgren called. The board read at that point and the river came
Wice checked to Lindgren who bet out 5,500. Wice said, "I think I'm supposed to bluff here, but whatever" and just called it. He showed for rivered trip kings and he scooped the pot.
Lindgren shook his head as he mucked and said, "You know, you're a really hard guy to make a hand against."
Lindgren has about 30,000 while Wice has moved up to 46,500

We're not sure of the preflop action, but it ended with two players all in and Michael Moore having them both covered.
Moore:
Button:
Small Blind:
The button was the smallest of the stacks while the small blind was in for 9,800. The flop was kind to the button and it flopped him the nut low, a pair of eights, and the nut-flush draw. The gave him trips, while the river allowed him to triple. Moore collected a small side pot as he sent the small blind to the rail.
Moore may have missed out on a big pot, but he is still holding steady with 33,500.
Tommy Chen opened for 2,200 from early position and the player in the hijack called. The flop came and Chen quickly bet 4,200. His opponent thought a bit, rechecked his cards, then let it go.
"I'm always too aggro," said Chen afterwards. "You gonna rob me like that you better bring a gun!" said a player sitting a couple of seats over. Chen laughed. "I won't rob you," he promised.
Chen has about 48,000 now.
Michael Moore, not to be confused with the controversial director of the same name, is one of the players remaining in today's field. Moore has slowly been amassing a decent stack throughout the day, currently sitting on 32,000.
During the last break, Moore expressed his desire to cash in today's event, which will require him to be among the top 90 players in the tournament. That might not be too hard to do considering Moore is used to being a part of a select group . . . he hails from Agar, South Dakota . . . population: 72.
