We came in to the hand when Allen Cunningham bet 8,000 on the turn with a board of only to be raised by Francesco "Cheech" Barbaro in early position. Cunningham made the call and both saw the river of
Cunningham checked but Barbaro bet out 8,000 and Cunningham called.
Barbaro showed for trip jacks, and Cunningham felted only the as he thought for a while about whether his hand held any clout. After about 30 seconds of looking and thinking, he decided not and mucked. He was left with about 25,000 which is pretty short at this point in the tournament.
Troy Palmer has been eliminated by Brian Swinford, the latter turning over which fit nicely with the board for a seven-high straight and a five-three low. Palmer couldn't beat this and promptly hit the rail.
Humberto Brenes had Dale Kunkel all in on a board. They flipped their cards and Kunkel had for top set and the nut low draw. Brenes was ahead though with for the nut straight and same low draw. The river didn’t pair the board meaning Brenes would win three-quarters of the pot and boost his already massive stack to 168,000. Afterwards, he said “Humberto only plays the nuts”.

Ted Lawson was all in preflop but Men Nguyen didn’t realize and asked how much Lawson had behind. Lawson joked “I’ve got another 100k, it’s in my wife’s purse” and the table had a good laugh. Lawson wasn’t able to win the hand but still hit the rail with all smiles.
From the hijack, Gary "GB" Bolden raised to 6,000 from the hijack (with only 500 left behind), Bradley Helm re-raised him all in and Bolden called.

The very next hand, Bolden raised to 6,000 under the gun with calls from Brian Swinford and Travis Pearson.

Jones folded and Seidel took the side pot then showed for aces up, Alioto turned over for an ace-five low to chop the low half. The Italian survives, but only just.
Barry Greenstein got his remaining stack of 11,000 all in preflop against Ted Woolridge and Rich Monroe who both bet it up to 14,000.
