The PokerStars North American Poker Tour Las Vegas has officially made its return to the United States at Resorts World Las Vegas and today kicks off the inaugural $5,300 High Roller Event. The event boasts a healthy $500,000 guarantee, and the action begins at 12:30 p.m. local time.
Multiple events have already kicked off or been completed at this year's NAPT. The main event has been a huge success, and after drawing a massive 1,095-player field, the players are returning this afternoon for the tournament's third day. Jesse Lonis was also fortunate enough to take down the $10,300 Super High Roller event to cement his name in history as the NAPT makes its return. However, players who were not able to make their NAPT main event dreams come true will have another opportunity at some hardware today in the High Roller.
This tournament features a 50,000 starting stack and players will begin at the 100/200/200 blind level. The event begins with 60-minute levels on Day 1, then moves to 40-minute levels on Day 2, and then back to 60-minute levels on Day 3.
There will be a 20-minute break after every two levels and a 60-minute dinner break after Level 6. Day 1 will play a total of ten levels, while Day 2 will play down to a six-person final table that will return on Day 3 for cards-up coverage on the PokerStars Youtube channel.
This is a single reentry tournament and registration remains open until the start of Day 2. Players who find a bag on Day 1 will return for Day 2 on Saturday, November 11th, at 12:30 p.m., followed by Day 3 on Sunday, November 12th, at 12:30 p.m.
The return of the NAPT has already been a massive success. It will be interesting to see how many players come out to attempt a run at one of the pieces of coveted PokerStars hardware, the first-place prize, and the glory.
Tune into PokerNews for all of the updates to see who will make their run at a potential life-changing score!
