John Armbrust Eliminated in 10th Place (€12,981)

Livello 2 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
John Armbrust: Eliminated in 10th Place
John Armbrust: Eliminated in 10th Place

John Armbrust has become the first player to be eliminated from the final table here in the €3,200 Shooutout.

Richard Toth opened to 9,000 from late position and Taylor Paur three-bet from the hijack to 22,500. The action folded to Armbrust on the button and he put in his whole stack of 28,000. Toth folded but Paur made the call.

Paur{A-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}
Armbrust{6-Spades}{6-Hearts}

Armbrust stayed ahead on the {Q-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{2-Clubs} flop but fell behind when the {7-Spades} landed on the turn. He was drawing to just one out because the {6-Clubs} would gift Paur a flush and low and behold the {6-Clubs} lands on the river, improving Armbrust to a set but Paur to a flush and Armbrust is eliminated in ninth place.

Elementary My Dear Watson

Livello 2 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Michael Watson is up to 325,000 chips after getting three streets of value out of James Dempsey.

He raised to 9,000 from mid-position pre-flop and bet 13,500, 30,000 and 50,000 on each street. The final board read {4-Spades}{q-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{q-Hearts} and Depmsey called all the way. He nodded and mucked when Watson revealed {a-Hearts}{q-Spades} for a full-house and dropped to 90,000.

Emil Patel
Emil Patel

Emil Patel opened the betting with a raise to 8,500 from UTG+1 and his only customer was James Dempsey in the cutoff seat. The dealer got busy putting the {6-Spades}{8-Clubs}{9-Hearts} flop into the middle of the felt and it was met with a check from Patel, a bet of 12,000 from Dempsey and a call from Patel.

The turn was the {9-Spades} and Patel check called again, this time a bet of 28,000 but when the {7-Clubs} hit the river both players checked.

Patel turned over {10-Spades}{10-Hearts} for a straight and he took down the pot.

Silver Makes Great Call And WIns Huge Pot

Livello 1 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Richard Toth opens the betting with a raise to 7,000 from late position. Max Silver in the cutoff seat calls, as does John Armburst on the button and Emil Patel in the small blind.

The foursome see the dealer put out the {q-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} flop. Patel checks, Toth checks, Silver bets 18,500, Armbrust calls but both Patel and Toth get out of the way. The turn card is the {8-Spades}, Silver continues with the aggression and bets 29,000 but Armbrust spoils the party and raises to 72,000. Silver considers all of his options for nearly two minutes before making the call.

The {K-Spades} lands on the river and Silver checks. Armburst moves two towers of yellow chips, topped with a few black 5,000 chips, worth 60,000. Silver momentarily sits up straight then slumps again and gets thinking. Two minutes later he makes the call.

Armbrust{A-Clubs}{9-Clubs}
Silver{A-Hearts}{Q-Spades}

Silver wins the pot with his pair of queens.

The very next hand Silver raises to 7,000 from the hijack and Armbrust calls. The flop comes down {Q-Spades}{6-Spades}{9-Hearts}, Silver makes a 6,000 continuation bet and Armbrust instantly folds. Silver is our new chip leader and Armbrust is very short with around 40,000 chips.

O'Dwyer in Early Position

Livello 1 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Steve O'Dwyer played out two pots from the firs two position, winning one and losing one.

He raised to 7,500 from under-the-gun plus one and faced a three-bet to 22,500 from good friend Max Silver in the small blind. He called to the {a-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{7-Spades} flop where both players checked. The turn came {3-Hearts} and Silver checked to face a 30,000 bet from O'Dwyer. Silver though for a minute and released his hand.

The very next hand O'Dwyer's 7,500 bet was called by Richard Toth and Emil Patel in the big blind. O'Dwyer continued for 20,000 on the {4-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{10-Spades} flop and only Patel came along to the {k-Clubs} turn. Both players checked before Patel bet a very small 6,000 on the {k-Hearts} river. O'Dwyer smiled, thew in the call and mucked upon seeing Patel's {j-Spades}{10-Hearts}.
