Rettenmaier's Deuce Holds

Marvin Rettenmaier just won a huge pot in which he was all-in for his tournament life with just a pair of deuces. The story is a bit more complicated that but in the end that's what he ended up doubling with.

Rettenmaier raised to 725 from the button with {2-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} and the player in the big blind called. The flop was {K-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{2-Spades} and the big blind bet 1,100. Rettenmaier raised to 2,800 giving his opponent the option, he decided to three-bet to 6,800. After this raise Rettenmaier decided to get it in for a total of 22,300 chips and his opponent called.

The turn brought the {K-Spades} giving Rettenmaier even more cards to fear but the river was the {8-Hearts} making him double up to 45,000.

Hellmuth Picks One Up with Aces and Sixes

Going for #12
Going for #12

From the cutoff seat, 11-time World Series of Poker gold bracelet winner Phil Hellmuth raised to 750. The only caller he received was Scott Lipshutz from the big blind. The flop came down {J-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} and Lipshutz checked. Hellmuth fired a continuation bet of 1,200 and Lipshutz made the call.

The turn was the {A-Clubs} and both players checked through to the {5-Clubs} river. After Lipshutz checked, Hellmuth bet 1,375. Lipshutz made the call.

Hellmuth tabled the {A-Spades}{6-Diamonds} for the winner with aces and sixes. Lipshutz mucked his hand.
