Benyamine Still in the Running
One of the most accomplished French tournament players, David Benyamine, is still in the running here in Cannes. In the summer of 2008 Benyamine won his first and only WSOP Bracelet in the $10,000 Omaha Hi/Lo Split for an amount of $535,687. Benyamine has been quite so far in this tournament but with the money nearing he's still hovering around the average stack.
We just saw him in a hand against Dmitry Motorov where the board read when both players decided to check. The turn was de and Motorov bet out 3,100. Benyamine counted out a raise and threw in 7,700. This was enough to get Motorov to fold his cards. Benyamine has around 58,000 chips.
