Reard, who won this event last year, was in a great spot to double up and leap up the counts towards the summit. For a brief moment, Reard perhaps feared for his tournament life as he saw the Q♦10♦J♦ flop which paired Zobian's queen, but gave Reard Broadway.
A 6♦ on the turn brought around some more chop opportunities but the 8♥ river was clean for Reard, who doubled up.
