Jia Cong from New York raised from the hijack and the big blind made the call. On the flop 7♥5♠7♦ Cong placed the continuation bet and the big blind called.
The 3♦ on the turn seemed like a harmless card and Cong bet again and was called.
The river A♣ halted all action and the players flipped their cards over. The big blind showed Q♦5♥ and Cong showed Q♥Q♣ for the superior two pair.

Welsh got 46th place in 2019; The event was cancelled in 2020; He got 15th in 2021; 56th in 2022; then followed that up with an incredible 3rd place finish in 2023.
Welsh may say he's given up hope but it's clear he doesn't want to break his streak.
Keita Yamashiro opened from middle position to 2,000. The cutoff three-bet to 3,000 before the small-blind put in another raise to 4,000. Both opponents called and they went three-ways to a flop.
9♥2♥4♥ hit the felt and action checked to the cutoff who bet 1,000 and only Yamashiro made the call.
The 3♠ peeled off and the cutoff bet 2,000 which Yamashiro called.
The cutoff fired on the 2♦ river and Yamashiro made the call.

In the first hand Local Joe Weinberger raised from the button and the big blind made the call. The flop came out with 5♣5♦4♦ and the big blind bet out and Weinberger flat called.
The same action occurred on the turn 8♥ and Weinberger called the bet again.
The big blind made a third attempt at the pot on the river A♠ and received the call again.
The big blind announced, "I was bluffing", and Weinberger flipped over A♣6♣ for the win.
On the second hand Weinberger raised from the cutoff position and the player in the big blind called. The flop came out 5♦4♠6♦ and Weinberger bet and received a call.
The turn 6♠ made it interesting and Weinberger bet again and received the call.
On the river 9♠ Weinberger bet again and was called. Weinberger flipped over J♠10♠ for the flush and the big blind's cards hit the muck.
Under the gun opened the pot to 2,000 and was three-bet by Pete Debest from the button to 3,000. The small blind called and under the gun re-raised to 4,000. Both Debest and the small blind made the call.
The flop came down 10♠3♥5♣ and under the gun fired out 1,000 before Debest bumped it up to 2,000. Under the gun made the call and they went heads up to a turn card.
The 8♥ rolled off and Debest fired 2,000 which under the gun called.
The 10♣ river was good enough for Debest to fire 2,000 again but his opponent folded.
