Small River Bet Does the Trick for Kornuth

When the K♠Q♥7♣ flop hit the felt, Kornuth check-called a bet of 250,000 from Leah.

Xiaoyao Ma jammed for 1,035,000 from the hijack and the action folded to Mike Leah in the big blind. Leah peeled one card as he announced he had a 'four-side', meaning a nine or a ten. He looked at his second card and then told the table he'll need a minute. About 40 seconds passed as he eyed the other stacks on the table and eventually made the call.

"I knew it was close," Leah said as he saw the cards.

The A♦5♥2♦ flop changed nothing, but the 10♦ turn was a money card for Leah as he paired his ten and picked up a flush draw. The A♣ paired the board on the river, and Ma stood up from the table.

Chance Kornuth raised to 200,000 from the cutoff. Mike Leah three-bet to 700,000 from the button. Kormuth called and they headed to the flop.

Kornuth check-called a bet of 525,000 on the 4♦9♦Q♥ flop.

Both players checked the 10♣ turn to see the Q♣ hit the river. The action checked through again and Kornuth announced "three pair" to which Leah responded with "me too". Kornuth turned over 10♥9♥ for queens and tens, which won him the pot as Leah mucked, much to the amusement of the table.

Action checked to Ma on the A♣7♣10♠ flop, and he bet 275,000. Thanarattrakul called, but Leah folded.

Both players checked the 2♣ on the turn to see the 3♠ appear on the river. Thanarattrakul fired out a bet of 1,000,000, and Ma snap-called. Thanarattrakul showed 6♣4♣ for a flush to win the pot.
