Payne Doubles Through Oberhauser

Livello 26 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Antonio Payne shoved for his last 630,000 from the hijack and Valentin Oberhauser also shoved for more on the button. Everyone else folded and a showdown was held.

Antonio Payne: 1010All in
Valentin Oberhauser: AQ

"Fair fight," Payne said before the board was dealt.

The dealer brought a 98K48 runout — keeping Payne's tens best for the double up.

"I'm not going nowhere!" Payne said as he collected the pot.

Hoang Runs Into a Set

Minh Hoang
Minh Hoang

Minh Hoang was all in from early position against Pedro Safar on the button, who had him covered.

Minh Hoang: AJ All in
Pedro Safar: 99

The flop of 5K9 gave Safar a big lead with a set, but the A turn gave Hoang some hope with a flush draw. Sadly, the J river improved him to a no-good two pair as he was sent to the rail.

Sprung Moves in Blind

Livello 26 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Jonathan Sprung was down to his last 220,000 and moved all in under the gun without looking. Aleksejs Ponakovs called in middle position and the rest of the table folded.

Jonathan Sprung: 74 All in
Aleksejs Ponakovs: A8

"I haven't looked. That one's live, and so is this one. I like live cards," Sprung said as he slowly turned over his cards one-by-one.

The 542 flop gave him a pair and the lead, but Ponakovs hit a straight on the 3 turn. "Six," Sprung called for as the 5 fell on the river.

Tablemate Rakan Abusaleh began celebrating before realizing the river was a five and not a six. "Sorry, I thought it was a six," Abusalem said to Sprung.

"It's all good," Sprung replied on his way to the payout desk.

Abusaleh Escapes From Elimination

Livello 26 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Rakan Abusaleh already loudly declared his elimination and asked for a payout when his AK was up against Jonathan Sprung with the 1010.

The board ran out Q762K and Abusaleh rivered the superior pair to double for 1,305,000.

"Cancel the payout," he joked. It was actually needed but one table over as Emilien Pitavy was knocked out by Alex Keating, while Sprung was left on fumes.

Stephen Song
Stephen Song

Stephen Song opened to 160,000 from the hijack and was called by Tomas Szwarcberg on the button for a heads-up pot.

Song check-called a 250,000 bet from Szwarcberg on the 6A10 flop and the both players checked on the 2 turn.

The 8 river brought four-to-a-flush and Song led out for 700,000. Szwarcberg tanked, but eventually decided to put in a call and Song turned over KK for the nut flush.

Szwarcberg sent his hand into the muck and Song added to his stack.

Bok Books a Healthy Win

Livello 26 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Three ways to the A976 turn, Garrett Bok in the small blind checked. Charles Russell in the big blind bet 340,000 and Joseph Carden called on the button, as did Bok.

The A river was checked to Carden, who bet 750,000. Only Bok called and Carden tabled the AQ for trip aces, which Bok had beat with the 66 for sixes full of aces.

Vaysman's Aces End Maue's Run

Livello 26 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

There were already around 1,500,000 chips in the pot on a board of 327Q when Leonard Maue checked it over to Justin Vaysman, who bet 850,000. Maue thought it over for a while but slid in the call.

On the 3 river, Mauechecked again only for Vaysman to shove for just under 2,500,000. Mauehad around 2,350,000 in his stack and after thinking it over, he decided to put them all at risk.

Vaysman flipped up AA which crushed the AQ of Maue, which ultimately sent him to the rail in the opening level of Day 6.
