Heads-up on a flop of 9♥2♦3♦, John Ciccarelli bet 80,000 from middle position, Richard Lowe raised to 180,000 under the gun, and Ciccarelli called.
The turn was the 3♠ and Lowe checked. Ciccarelli then bet 240,000 and Lowe called.
Lowe checked again on the 2♥ river and Ciccarelli peeked back at his cards before tapping the felt. Lowe turned over 5♥5♠ and Ciccarelli mucked.
Francis Anderson is sitting at this table sporting a large cowboy hat, while Adam Kharman is seated in between Lowe and Ciccarelli with a pyramid-shaped sugarcane hat.
Tarun Goyal raised to 55,000 from the button with A♠K♦ and got a call from Adrian Mateos in the small blind who sat with K♠J♣. James Tian also called from the big blind holding 6♣4♠.
The flop came 9♥8♦2♥ and the players checked to the A♦ turn.
The blinds checked again, and Goyal bet 110,000 and both players folded, giving Goyal the pot.
Aleksejs Ponakovs opened to 50,000 from early position and was three-bet to 155,000 by Abdullah Al-Shanti in the cutoff. Action folded back around to Ponakovs, who called.
Ponakovs check-called a 70,000 bet from Al-Shanti on the 2♥K♠6♥ flop and then both players checked down on the Q♠ turn and 9♠ river.
Al-Shanti turned over J♠J♦ and Ponakovs mucked, much to the relief of Al-Shanti.
Biao Ding has raised from under the gun with Mir Kohyar Gaskari in the hijack and Kevin Davis in the big blind seeing a flop.
The flop came Q♦K♦6♦ which checked to Gaskari, who bet 40,000. Davis then made it 125,000, Ding called, and Gaskari shoved for 750,000. Davis and Ding both called.
A 6♠ on the turn paired the board which Davis checked, then Ding bet 500,000. Davis quickly folded.
Mir Kohyar Gaskari: K♠Q♥
Biao Ding: A♦3♦
Ding had flopped the nuts but the paired board on the turn meant Gaskari had some outs. Before the dealer put out the river, Davis said that he also had a flush but had to fold to Ding's bet.
Gaskari was looking for the board to pair again on the river but the 9♠ river wasn't what he needed, which meant he was eliminated and Ding accumulated more chips.
Loni Hui moved all in for 360,000 from the small blind and was called by Marcelo Giordano in the big blind.
Loni Hui: A♦J♣
Marcelo Giordano: Q♥Q♣
The 2♠6♣A♣ flop was looking hopeful for Hui to get another double as she picked up top pair.
She was holding strong on the 5♦ turn.
This all changed on the Q♦ river when Giordano stole the pot with a set of queens, eliminating Hui from the tournament, and taking the table chip lead.
Ryan Tigner got his short stack in from the button with the A♠Q♣ only to find himself up against the A♦A♣ of Casey Stewart in the big blind.
The 8♥3♦2♥4♦ turn provided some chop outs as a five would have made both players a wheel. However, the J♦ river was a blank and that sent Tigner out next.
