Andrei Konopelko raised to 200,000 in the hijack and Sonny Franco three-bet shoved all in for 1,320,000 in the cutoff, putting himself at risk. Konopelko made the call.
Sonny Franco: A♥9♣
Andrei Konopelko: Q♣J♦
The board ran out 9♦5♠6♠10♣Q♦, and Konopelko's pair of queens on the river ended Franco's tournament run.
Christopher Brewer shoved from the cutoff into the smaller stacks to his left, and Scott Matte called for his last 1,100,000 from the small blind.
Scott Matte: K♥Q♦
Christopher Brewer: 10♣9♠
Matte would have felt comfortable when he saw the 6♣3♠Q♣ flop as he improved to top pair which left Brewer drawing thin. A 7♠ on the turn did give Brewer a gutshot meaning only an eight on the river would see Matte eliminated.
Brewer did complete his straight on the 8♣ river which meant Matte was eliminated.
"I get the bounty, too," said Brewer as Matte was walking away from the table. Matte tossed the bounty card to Brewer and headed to the payout desk.
Nick Schwarmann opened from the cutoff to 200,000 and Damarjai Davenport three-bet to 475,000 on the button. Once the blinds folded, Schwarmann shoved for around 5,000,000 total, and Davenport was put to the test for his stack of 4,000,000. After some time thinking, Davenport slammed some chips into the pot and made the call.
Damarjai Davenport: 10♣10♠
Nick Schwarmann: A♣K♦
The chip lead awaited the winner of this flip and it was advantage Davenport on the A♦Q♣10♥ flop as he improved to a set. Schwarmann picked up a gutshot but that became useless as the Q♦ turn improved Davenport to a full house. Only an ace or a queen on the river would see Schwarmann take the pot but the 4♥ meant Davenport surged into the chip lead.
On a board of 7♥7♠3♥8♠, Damarjai Davenport checked it over to Shaun Deeb, who fired a pot-sized bet of 300,000. Davenport then check-raised to 680,000, and Deeb called.
A J♣ completed the board and Davenport shoved for around 2,100,000. Deeb took his time but eventually folded.
Todd Belsick moved all in for 1,175,000 from the hijack, putting himself at risk, and Robert Heidorn made the call from the button.
Todd Belsick: K♥Q♠
Robert Heidorn: A♦10♥
Belsick pulled ahead on the 4♦K♣Q♣ flop, improving to two pair, kings and queens. However, the J♠ on the turn gave Heidorn a straight. The 8♦ on the river put an end to Belsick's impressive tournament run.
After he doubled through Adrian Mateos just before the redraw, Julien Sitbon at his new seat jammed for 1,410,000 from the button, then Ky Nguyen went into the tank and eventually called for his last 880,000.
Ky Nguyen: A♥Q♦
Julien Sitbon: K♣J♠
On a board of 8♦10♦J♣9♦5♦, Nguyen was lucky enough to hit a straight then a flush to double up.
