Today will see the kick-off of Event #65: $5,000 Seniors High Roller No-Limit Hold'em here at Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas, which gets underway at 12 p.m. local time with starting stacks of 50,000 and blinds of 100/200/200. Levels will be 40 minutes on Day 1 and 60 minutes on Days 2-3.
Day 1 will play for 15 levels with 20-minute breaks and a 60-minute dinner break after Level 9 around 6:40 p.m. Meanwhile, Day 2 will restart at noon Thursday and will play 10 levels with 15-minute breaks every three levels and a 60-minute dinner break after Level 21 around 6:30 p.m.
Day 3 will play down to a winner with 15-minute breaks every three levels and a to-be-determined dinner break.
This is a new event for the series that will crown the inaugural Seniors High Roller champion. Last summer, the $1,000 Seniors Championship drew 8,140 entries for a prize pool of $7,280,200. Lonnie Hallett defeated Poker Hall of Famer Billy Baxter during heads-up play for $765,731 and his first bracelet.

What Else is Happening at the 2024 WSOP?
