Buchanan Doubles; Moulder Extends Lead

Livello 23 : Limits 40,000/80,000, 0 ante

Badugi

Shawn Buchanan raised on the button, Shaun Deeb three-bet in the small blind, and Buchanan called all in. Buchanan then drew one card two times before standing pat, while Deeb stood pat on every draw.

Deeb flashed a king-badugi, with Buchanan's 10843 raking in the double-up.

2-7 Triple Draw

On another table, Ian Chan and Patrick Moulder had arrived at the final draw, where they both stood pat. Chan then bet out and Moulder raised.

Chan quickly called, but mucked his cards when Moulder tabled 7x6x5x3x2x for a seven-low to take down the large pot.

2-7 Triple Draw

Chad Eveslage opened from the cutoff and Russell Clayton called from the small blind, drawing one while Eveslage drew two.

A-5 Triple Draw

Russell Clayton raised under the gun before Shaun Deeb three-bet on the button. Clayton called all in for his tournament life and drew three cards. Deeb took two, after which Clayton stood pat on the second draw.

Deeb still needed one, and took one on the final draw as well.

Shaun Deeb: 6x4x3xAx

Deeb peeled a 9x to make a worse low than his opponent, seeing him double up.

Shaun Deeb and Chad Eveslage Looking to Expand Bracelet Collection as 15 Return for Final Day of $2,500 Mixed Triple Draw

Chad Eveslage

Today, at 1 p.m. local time, 15 players will return to the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas to decide who will reign victorious in Event #56: $2,500 Mixed Triple Draw Lowball. Among those who have survived the record-breaking field of 371 entries thus far are multi-bracelet winners Shaun Deeb and Chad Eveslage.

Both Deeb and Eveslage play a full schedule nearly every summer at the World Series of Poker, resulting in six bracelets in Deeb's prize cabinet, while Eveslage is the proud owner of three bracelets. Today, they will be on the hunt for one more as they return with above-average stacks for the third and final day of the event.

Deeb will unbag 1,270,000 chips, which is good for just under 16 big bets, while Eveslage will start with 1,030,000. Both of them have some catching up to do, however, as the chip lead is in the hands of Patrick Moulder, who bagged up 1,820,000 chips at the end of Day 2.

Meanwhile, Amir Nematinia (1,560,000) and Yuebin Guo (1,530,000) are virtually tied for second place, while Sweden's Oscar Johansson (1,125,000) and Canada's Ian Chan (1,090,000) provide the top ten with some international representation.

The 15 remaining players will divide the majority of the $825,475 prize pool, with them all being guaranteed $8,861. The eventual winner will take home $177,045, alongside the prestigious bracelet.

Levels will be 60 minutes long throughout the day, and a 15-minute break will be had after every two of them. A dinner break is also in the cards, but it has yet to be determined when it will take place.

Day 3 will continue until a winner is crowned, so stay tuned to PokerNews to see if Deeb or Eveslage add to their collections, or if someone else captures their first one and etches their name into the history books.
