Kono’s Aces Get Paid On the River

Livello 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

The action was caught on the river, where the board was 732J10.

The pot was around 30,000 and Jonathan Hanner bet 6,000. Reiji Kono raised all in for 33,500 total. Hanner went into the tank, but eventually called. Kono flipped over the AA.

Aces were good for Kono’s double-up, as Hanner mucked his hand. He later said he had pocket eights.

Chen's Kings Send Out Kade

Livello 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Nam Chen made it 5,000 to go preflop and Vanessa Kade called to see a flop of 9J8.

Kade checked, Chen bet 5,000 and Kade check-raised to 16,000. Chen thought for a few seconds but made the call to see the 7 on the turn.

Kade then announced she was all in and Chen called to put her at risk.

Vanessa Kade: Q7All in
Nam Chen: KK

Chen was in the lead with his pocket kings, but Kade still had a ton of outs to get there with any queen, ten, seven, or spade. Unfortunately for her, the river was the blankiest blank 2 and she headed to the exit.

Gordon Says No Moor, Man

Livello 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Chris Moorman moved all in preflop for around 40,000 and John Henry Gordon wound up making the call after some inner debate.

Chris Moorman: 66
John Henry Gordon: KJ

Moorman was in the lead with his pocket pair, but that didn't last long as the flop came out K35 to give Gordon the lead with a pair of kings. The turn K only improved Gordon to trips and the river was the blank 4 to send Moorman to the rail.

Baldwin Chipping Up

Livello 11 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Eric Baldwin raised to 4,500 under the gun and was called by the big blind.

The flop came A22, the big blind checked and Baldwin bet 3,000.

Action checked through when the Q fell on the turn.

The river was the J and the big blind wagered 10,000. Baldwin thought for a moment before raising to 36,000. The big blind mulled his options before making the call. Baldwin showed him the K10, which was good enough to win the pot.

Soma Calls Holskyi’s Bluff; Holskyi Eliminated With a Full House Soon After

Livello 11 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Leo Soma
Leo Soma

Leo Soma won a decent-sized pot off of Kostya Holskyi after calling him down with the third pair on a three-to-a-flush board on the river.

The board was 1053A and the turn got checked around. The river was the 4. Holskyi made a big bet of 15,000 and after a few moments of thinking, Soma called. Holskyi reluctantly turned over 62 for a pair of sixes, and Soma showed the K6 for the same pair with a better kicker.

After that, Holskyi was able to hang around for a couple of orbits, winning some smaller pots, but eventually had to go all in again on the button and got called by Eric Tang in the big blind.

Kostya Holskyi: A7All in
Eric Tang: KJ

The flop was great for Holskyi: 7J7, giving him trips against Tang’s two pair. However, the unlikely J was dealt next and all but sealed Holskyi’s tournament. The Q on the river sent him to the rail.
