Aces Hold for Tsang

Livello 15 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

A player opened to 15,000 from early position and action folded around to a player in the small blind who three-bet to 45,000. Chak Lam Tsang then moved all in for his last 84,000 with the original raiser not taking long before re-jamming his stack of 175,000. That sent the small blind deep into the tank as he pondered a call. Another player not involved in the hand called the clock and the small blind allowed the countdown to expire without acting, killing his hand.

Chak Lam Tsang: AA
Early Position Player: QQ

Tsang held a commanding lead and managed to hold on the 222K9 runout to score a late double to keep his tournament hopes alive.

Lee Commits Bubble Abuse

Livello 15 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Debbie Lee opened to 13,000 from early position and a player in the cutoff put in a three-bet to 45,000. Lee responded by moving all in with a covering stack, putting her opponent deep into the tank with the bubble looming.

After about three minutes, the cutoff slid his hand into the muck with a pained expression on his face and Lee scooped the pot uncontested.

Rigby Keeps the Pressure On, Hastings Busts

Livello 15 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Nick Rigby
Nick Rigby

There was a 70,000 pot brewing between Nicholas Rigby and his opponent. The board was dealt up until the turn and read 7K106. Rigby added another 35,000 to that via a bet and sent his opponent into the tank.

After a while, the player reluctantly folded his hand and shipped another pot to Rigby, who is making good use of his large stack in this stage of the tournament.

On another table, six-time bracelet winner Brian Hastings was among the unlucky souls to depart from the Main Event before the money had been reached.

Runner-Runner Double Up for Wagner

Livello 15 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

All the chips went in the middle preflop between Daniel Wagner, at risk for his last 91,000 and holding 98,a nd his opponent who held 77.

The flop first gave a set of sevens to Wagner's opponent with 79Q. However, a 9 turn and Q river gave a better full house to Wagner who took down the needed double up.

Kornuth Lightens The Field

Livello 15 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

The player in the cutoff had already shoved for his short stack and Chance Kornuth called from the small blind to put him at risk.

Cutoff: 33
Chance Kornuth: 44

Kornuth found himself with a commanding lead with his baby pair and the 9J2A5 runout was of no help to his opponent — eliminating him late in the evening.

Dhaliwal Is Not a Prick

Livello 15 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Paul Dhaliwal moved all in for his last 52,000 from the small blind. Jacob Lonis, the big blind, made the call.

Paul Dhaliwal: A10
Jesse Lonis: AK

Dhaliwal would need help to remain in the tournament, and the 10J2 provided that help as he paired his ten. The 4 turn and 2 river did nothing to change the outcome, and Dhaliwal remained alive.

"At least you're not a prick," said Lonis, joking with Dhaliwal. "I need people to see how unlucky I am!" added Lonis.

Tardif Eliminates One as Bubble Looms

Livello 15 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Patrick Tardif
Patrick Tardif

Patrick Tardif raised to 13,000 from middle position and the player in the big blind made the call. On the K88 flop, Tardif continued for 8,000 and received another call.

The turn came the J and Tardif upped the ante to a massive overbet of 45,000. Once again, the big blind check-called.

The river 4 completed the board and the big blind checked for the third time. This time, Tardif threw enough T-25,000 chips in the middle to put the big blind's stack of 105,000 all in.

The big blind thought for a while and eventually tossed in the call for his tournament life. Tardif tabled AK for two pair, and that was the winner when the big blind showed K7 for the same two pair but with a worse kicker.

The big blind was eliminated and Tardif won a big pot around the bubble.

Livshitz Gets the Maximum

Livello 15 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

A player in the hijack raised to 12,000, Gabi Livshitz three-bet to 40,000 and the original raiser called.

A flop of A10J checked through to the 2 on the turn. The hijack took the lead for 40,000 and Livshitz called.

The 4 river slowed down the hijack and the action was checked to Livshitz, who bet out for 35,000. The hijack responded with a raise to 120,000 and Livshitz snap-called.

Hijack: 33
Gabi Livshitz: AK

Livshitz picked off the river raise with ease and won a big pot.
