On a heads-up flop of 4♦3♣9♦, Aaron Olechnowicz checked to his opponent who then bet 3,500 into the pot. Then Aaron Olechnowicz decided to check-raise him to 10,000 and was called to see the 9♥ on the turn.
Both players decided to check through to the 3♠ on the river, at which point Olechnowicz announced he was all-in. His opponent went into the tank for a solid minute before painfully sliding his cards into the muck. Olechnowicz then showed him the goods of A♣8♣ for a big ol' ace-high.

Mikiyo Aoki was three ways on a 7♦K♥8♥ flop. The player in the big blind checked and Aoki bet 1,100 from the hijack. Bryan Topp called from the cutoff and the big blind folded.
Aoki check-called a 3,100 bet from Topp on the A♠ turn and then both players checked down on the 3♦ river.
Aoki tabled A♥10♦ for top pair, which got a muck from Topp.

Yohwan "BoxeR" Lim has joined the Gold Section of the Main Event. Lim is one of the best-known StarCraft players in the world, and even has his own documentary and fan club back in Korea. He was involved in a heads-up pot against Michael Trivitt, with 17,600 already in the middle.
The board was dealt up until the turn and read 8♥2♠8♦J♦. Trivett led from under the gun and put Lim in tough spot on the button. With his camera crew capturing his struggle, he eventually folded his hand and forfeited the pot to Trivitt.

After winning two tournaments in two days in Vegas last week, WSOP Main Event Champion (2004) Greg Raymer will try to win a third one with this 2023 WSOP Main Event. "But I don't care about the first two, I want to win this one", he said during the last break.
He had "an amazing start" so far, as he has already doubled his stack. And his good run continues, like when he opened in middle position to 800 and was called by both players in the blinds.
On K♠10♥K♥, he made a continuation bet of 700. The small blind folded, but Tauan De Oliveira in the big blind raised to 2,100. Raymer called, and a third king, the K♦, came on the turn.
Raymer bet 5,000. But this time, De Oliveira check-folded. "Phew", said Raymer while wiping his brow. When he did that, he had his cards in his hand and revealed the last king of the deck.

After checking through the turn 6♠J♥A♠J♣8♦, Timoty Totten decided to check once more when the river came the 3♠.
The action was then on his opponent, Sonia Shashikhina, who tossed in a bet of 20,000 into the pot of almost 40,000.
Totten then went into the tank, visibly conflicted on this decision. After around 30 seconds of torturing himself, he decided to let it go and the pot was pushed to Shashikhina.

Three players saw the A♠7♣2♥ flop for 3,000 each and Manuel Pochat led for 2,500. The player next to act folded and Haven Werner made the call on the button.
The A♣ fell on the turn and Pochat checked to Werner as she tossed a bet of 5,500 in the middle. Pochat asked to see her chips and she pushed forward her stack of just over 30,000 to make it visible. Pochat made the call.
When the Q♥ landed on the river, Pochat checked once again. Werner thought about her options for about 10 seconds and tapped the table.
Pochat quickly rolled over his A♦10♠ for trip aces and Werner mucked her hand.

Three players saw a flop of 10♣7♠8♦ and action was checked around.
The turn came 2♥. It was checked to the hijack, who bet 2,600 and Patrick McDaniel, in middle position, called.
The river fell 5♦. McDaniel tabled 8♠8♥ and on a board with plenty of possible straights, it was good enough to take the pot.

Rodney Burt raised to 700 from under the gun and James Dempsey called in the cutoff. They went heads-up to a flop of Q♦4♥3♠ and Burt continued with a bet of 800. Dempsey called and the K♣ landed on the turn.
Burt checked this time and Dempsey checked it back to the 6♥ on the river. Burt checked again and Dempsey fired out a bet of 4,000. Burt looked him up and Dempsey rolled over 6♠4♠ for two pair and the best hand.
