Berman checked to Buckner once more when the 2♣ completed the board and he bombed 21,000 into the middle. Berman quickly called and Buckner tabled 8♠6♥ for two pair. It was no good, however, against the 8♦8♣ of Berman for a set of eights.
"What a brutal turn," Buckner fumed as Berman collected the pot.
